maxed out gaming i stay a like 70 cel

you maybe right,im gonna tinker tommorow,i have good cooling,have a cprsair h8o ti,and its keeps things real kewl,the h100 dosnt do too much better of a job

kewl gys.gals,thanks for t-he input,'m assimilating all the opions i haver gotten and have come to the conclusion that being it looks fine gaming,smooth,fast,no breaking or tearing,it's just that th e card doesnt --NEED to use that- last 1 or 2 % of power,i see no problems so that must be it,I thank all of you for your opinions and input very much apreciated,thank you very much all...i can sleep easy tonight lol

WOULD it help if overclocked the chip a bit more than 4.6, i mean i can get- 4.8 on it and its sti-ll in safe zone heat wise,i just figured why bother comprimising the lonGEVITY for just 100 or 200 more ghz,cuse my voltage is at 1.23..to go to 4.7 i need 1.3 ish and 4.8 is like 1.35 like maxing it out

like i never seen 99 or 100 % usage

I just ran a run of starwars battleront,it looked incredible...i got 58 kills as others had 5- 10 lol,but I wsa watching the GPU usage,and it was between 95 to 98 % it -never wnt over that-,is it possible its slightly holdint the card back?

So,i have a 4790k OC'D to 4.6 and replaced my Asus gtx 980 TI with An Evga gtx 1080 FTW.....I seee visually no problems,it runs smooth,fast response,i was just wondering is the card running at full potential with the 4790 k at 4.6? I meam do i ned to get a better hip? i just wanna know if the chip can max potentilaze the 1080 ftw,as i said i see no problems,but im a perfectionist lol.I just wanted to hear some experienced opinions,thanks for listening.

Its all the silicon lottery,some chips will be beter or worse,i can tell you that i have my 4790k at 4.6 ghz and 1.23 volts and is cool as a cucumber,if i got 4.7,i have to thrwos teh volts up a bunch,like 1.3 ish.

This chip is the best thing to happen in a long time,its cheap,GOOD and easy to overclock......to example this........i have mine set at 4.5 ghz,1.295 volts vcore///everyting else is auto......my cooler is a hyper 212 evo(just air,but if you know what im talking about its the best air) i ran prime 95 version 26.6(the one you should always run) for over 5 hours and the highest temps i seen was 80,mopre so consistent was 70s.Its a friggin great chip running at 4.5 ghz for 80 bucks...although you cant run any top end cards ios the downfall,for instance,i upgraded my main comp to a gtx 1080 ftw2 vid card,i used to use an asus strix gtx 980 TI......I couldnt use the 9 80 ti in the other comp cause even though im OCD at 4.5 on the 3258,it would bottleneck it...but other than that...youll never see intel quality at 4.5 dual core for 80 buks lol,so i love the thing
