  1. Ohh to let everyone know, I went to the store and bought another cpu and that was the problem. If anyone runs into this problem then look at replacing your cpu.
  2. Here is a photo of no hard drive installed and just usb and onboard graphics and ram. Same thing Happens. So I am about to take it to frys and see if they can install it and they may change out the CPU maybe but I do not know.
  3. so when I took the previous photo, NOt the one I just did but the one with the blank screen, it still did this. Any other reasons maybe?
  4. Again; this keeps happening and cannot understand why. I am coming down to the CPU being busted because its not doing I/O
  5. resetting cmos and bios. at the time of that photo, had only 16 gb in
  6. Hey Community I am reaching out because my hair is stretched thin. I have made a new build that has a Core I7-9700K with a MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC. This also has psw of 750 Thermal Take. This also has a Geforce GTX 1660 and for the cooler its an Corsair H100I pro. Memory its patriot Viper 32GB DDR4 Dual Channel. I am Having no luck diagnosing the problem. The symptoms is that every time I turn it on and make it boot from usb it becomes frozen after maybe a second of the dots loading. I have redone the usb three different ways, 1: made my own using Media Creation tool (Doesn't Work), 2: Used Rufus and downloaded ISO from media Creation tool, 3rd: I used another Hdd to boot from, It does not boot from that hard drive. There was a POST and we saw it in safe mode load up and installed windows but nothing else worked after I restarted. I saw somewhere that Logitech has something to do with it. PLEASE HELP I AM PULLING MY HAIR OUT
  7. So I was trying to help a friend out by helping build his pc one component at a time. He bought a prebuilt system (Acer TC-780-ACK15) originally and put a graphics card in it. Now he wants to upgrade the motherboard not the cpu. So He got a new motherboard but for a 8th gen system not 7th gen (didnt notice until we had the problem). I told him to do his research but he missed the part about the chip set being very much different. Well anyways me being dumb i put the I3-7400 in a 8th gen Chipset motherboard. Put it together and i turn it on then for two seconds then turns off. So I was thinking, "is the board not compatible" and low and behold it isn't. So we put it all back together with the old motherboard. Now its doing the exact same thing in the old motherboard. Did we break the cpu by doing this? Please any comments would help.
  8. I don't know what you talking about, I found a used CPU for 25$ and a mobo for 50$
  9. The Power of Ebay my friend. Those parts are not consumer parts, they are commercial parts that have been marked down in price because of the new stuff that is being upgraded across the world.
  10. Using a Xeon Processor won't have issues? I thought Xeon using non-server components will screw up things on the software side of the computer.
  11. Do u think it is possible to get a 1tb hdd and a 120gb ssd, while still under this budget?
  12. Hello All, I have never posted in the forum and I have been given the task to get a PC part list together without peripherals for a PC that will be doing audio editing and photoshop editing workstation. The hardest thing I have ever done though was making the pc for under 200$. I was thinking a Pre-built old system for 80$ or a system with onboard graphics that has an i-3. I have been searching for something on the lines of this for about 2 weeks and found nothing with the compromise of performance. I have convinced him because he is trying to do photoshop on an Acer laptop and have all his audio editing on it as well, which is a horrendous Idea. I have been watching Linus for a very long time and cannot find an answer. Ohh Please Help me on this adventure. Let me also say that this is located in California, also he is up for the Idea of Used parts. Thanks. Jdog
