  1. Does turning your PC off by flicking the little switch on your power supply bad for the hardware, the software, or both? And if so, how bad is it? Thanks
  2. Does anyone know how to make it so that windows firewall only connects to private networks and not public ones?
  3. I'm running Windows 10 and is there any way to stop it from connecting to public networks so that it'll connect to private networks only?
  4. Oh and by the way of its important I'm using Windows 10 and an Ethernet cable
  5. So I've had this problem for eight days now and I'm getting desperate. I'm not getting any internet and it may be for two reasons; one is that I need to connect to a private network but Windows 10 firewall keeps connecting to public networks. If I mess around enough with Windows firewall I can get Internet, but after a few times of shutting down and turning back on it goes back to public networks. Anyone know how to fix this? Another thing that it might be is antivirus softwares. I think this because I've been changing softwares a lot these past few days and any time I do is about the time when my internet starts working again. Are these things related? Please help, it's been 8 days...
  6. Whenever I try to play online whether it GTA 5, or redeem a steam code I keep getting an error that says "There was an error communicating with Steam servers. Please try again later." Should I just wait or what?
  7. Please give any ideas I'm desperate
  8. Alright so I've had this problem for one week now and it's getting me mad. My internet works to my PC at first, but after a few restarts with a new antivirus software it stops working, anyone know why? And I'm using Windows 10 and an Ethernet cable

    Norton

Yeah I'm gonna get a new software soon but until then I need some antivirus and internet

    Norton

I think the problem is Norton because they're blocking private networks on Windows 10 firewall, but I have an Ethernet cable hooked up to my PC and there is no internet. I know I have the correct drivers, but I think the probl is that Norton is blocking private networks, does anyone know how to fix this?
  11. basically I can choose what's trusted and what's not and stuff in the Norton firewall settings. But the problem is that I need to connect to my private network to get Internet, and Norton won't let me get close to touching the firewall and my control over the networking side of it
  12. no cause Nortons a s*** bag, hopefully getting new one soon
  13. How do you deny Norton access to Windows Firewall? Because they're blocking private networks so I can't get Internet
  14. ?
