  2. I dont have a product key. Can I find mine somewhere?
  3. Waddup, Im planning to change my CPU/mobo/RAM. Will I be able to add the new components and carry on as before or will windows freak out? My PC was custom build and had Win8 (Now 10). I didn't get a product key or anything like that. Thank you.
  4. Ok thanks for your help. I am considering upgrading soon. Should I upgrade my CPU or GPU first?
  5. Hello, I am running an AMD FX-8350 along with a 2gb gtx 960. My system is starting to struggle with newer games and I was wondering if it was the system in general or if one component is bottle-necking the other. Thanks.
  6. Hello, I am beggining to plan a new build but im not sure wether to go with the newer i7 6700k or the older but cheaper i7 4790k. Is the skylake cpu worth spending extra on or should I go haswell? I am aware the skylake cpus have a new socket, would this be good for future-proofing?
  7. Hello, I am considering building a new gaming rig. What would be the best performing PC I could get for £800 ($1161 USD). I already have a cx750m psu. Thanks.
  8. Windows performance profiles were the issue. Thanks for you help
  9. I have an AMD fx-8350 running at stock clock speed (4ghz). I have noticed that the processor speed is always at 4ghz regardless of the load. Should the clock speed change depending on cpu load or should it remain constant? Thanks.
  10. Thank you all for your responses. That was a good point about having a dedicated gpu. Learning to overclock sounds cool aswell. I found a copy of windows 7 lying around so I can ditch the linux plan. I am planning on tinkering around with it and possible using parts in future builds.
  11. Hey, i'm new around here so bear with me... I recently got a custom build rig because I did not feel confident with building. However, I am very keen to give it a try, my worry is that I will pick the wrong components or make a mistake whilst building. What is the cheapest possible functioning build I could do? I am not worried about specs, it just need to be able to comfortably run an OS. (I will most likely use Linux so windows will not need to be factored into the cost) Thanks!
