Not at the moment, if anything I would probably be wanting one of the hybrid cooled 1080ti's. Color scheme would have to match the white case, feel free to be creative. I have no schemes in mind atm. -
1. Budget & Location Around 4,000 dollars, USA NOTE: If I dont need to use all 4 grand for a build, I'd like to avoid that. 2. Aim Been patiently waiting and have finally decided to begin a build. Mainly gaming and web browsing. 3. Monitors Its either gonna be the Asus PG279vq, the X34/PG348q, or I wait for the PG35vq 4. Peripherals none needed 5. Why are you upgrading? Because life is short Just wanted to pick everyones brain on what to use as far as picking the right parts go. All build recommendations appreciated. NOTE: Keep in mind I have a CaseLabs SMA8 case ready to go in white

Good find, I was under the impression that DDR 4 3000 was the standard for a gaming rig.

Why change out the ram?

Yes, it was...

Yea, I added it after I realized what I did

Been waiting for these new Ti's to come out since the end of last year to finally build my gaming pc. Please annotate where I may have gone wrong or if I am missing something. Ofcourse I would be fine with that, but Im not using a 1080 monitor, I'm going with a 3440 x 1440p
-
Yes the 1080 outshine the 980 Ti in this video, but the only benchmarks of games that were done were in 4k which is what I am not going to be using for a gaming monitor. So the justification is why would I spend 600 dollars for the 1080 when I can get a 980 Ti for around 3 to 4 hundred dollars after the 1080 is released? In addition, I want the xx80 Ti whenever it comes out. I am just tired of waiting to build my rig. And would rather avoid spending for a 1080 when the new Ti will be released some time next year.
-
According to multiple reviews that I have seen so far, I am looking at maybe a 10% increase in performance if I go the 1080 route. I feel that it is not worth the price tag for a small increase in performance. Plus the 980 Ti's right now are pretty darn cheap on Ebay.
-
Since we are on the eve of a new GPU generation being released, I have patiently waited to see how prices change on the 980 Ti. I don't think I am going to want the 1080 or 1070 since it really isn't much more of an upgrade from the 980 Ti. So keep in mind the 980 Ti I have picked will most likely be purchased thru Ebay for cheaper, I only included it to get a baseline figure on total cost. Anyhow, my question is will I need 2x 980 Ti's to run the monitor? Fresh problems for Nvidia users running DirectX 12
GrimboSnipes replied to Master Disaster's topic in Tech News
All this DX 12 talk got me thinking about AMD stocks, it is currently $2.63 a share. I might have to consider buying a massive amount and hoping for the best if Nvidia can't deliver. BTW Nvidia shares are around $33.10 a share. http://finance.yahoo.com/q;_ylc=X1MDMjE0MjQ3ODk0OARfcgMyBGZyA3VoM19maW5hbmNlX3dlYl9ncwRmcjIDc2EtZ3AEZ3ByaWQDBG5fZ3BzAzEwBG9yaWdpbgNmaW5hbmNlLnlhaG9vLmNvbQRwb3MDMQRwcXN0cgMEcXVlcnkDTlZEQSwEc2FjAzEEc2FvAzE-?p=http%3A%2F%2Ffinance.yahoo.com%2Fq%3Fs%3DNVDA%26ql%3D0&uhb=uhb2&fr=uh3_finance_vert_gs&s=NVDA http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=amd&uhb=uhb2&fr=uh3_finance_vert_gs
