Yeah, European licensing laws, I can do my larger restricted license (European category A2, so any motorcycle up to ~47bhp or a bike no more than ~95bhp unrestricted), using a Honda CB500 as my test bike.

Just had my first ride on a larger motorcycle today (since I can now do my full license for that category), it was fun

Don't want to get political, but they're kinda required over here by law now on all new vehicles (technically bikes are exempt but most modern ones will either have the headlight on, some sort of DRL, or both), I switched my DRLs (indicators) for DRL/indicator combos, just in case it makes a tiny difference.

Neon yellow bike, with DRLs (daytime running lights), an LED headlight and a reflective backpack, even with a hi-vis vest how people miss me is beyond me.

If he did hit me I would probably have been seriously injured only downside to motorbikes in the city centre.

And constantly check around like your life depends on it, I was behind a van who almost sideswiped 2 cars in succession since they didn't look, good job I wasn't in the other lane

Heard that on the radio once... ONCE. Although saying that, I can think of worse things to be played on the air (the UK regulator for this publishes a bulletin every 2 weeks with all the mistakes everyone made - it's a great read if you're bored and often includes said "worse things").

I have a helmet floating around that's like that (not mine though, mine is Honda branded since that was the only design they had in my size ) Ouch I lowsided the other week (in fact, I was just leaving first day back at work and the rear wheel slipped from under me) and by the looks of it I was quite lucky, virtually no damage to my kit and somehow only bruised my knee despite sliding for probably a good 20 or so metres (at least) whilst pinned under my bike. Yes, I caught it on camera as well... Helmets are required here by law anyway for motorcyclists (there are exceptions to this but I don't want to see this thread get political).

I'm in the same situation - I think most of my family would be supportive, but I can't really be sure (they seem pro-LGBT, but it may be a different story if/when I come out) Probably tearing apart my project bike to try and install a new horn (it requires a 30A fuse and more wiring) as well as waiting on my parts order to come in.

Busy... work and all that

I switched to an apprenticeship 15 months ago, and only just finishing.... I even think the training provider regrets choosing the exam board it did since they've done nothing but cause problems - honestly I'd have probably been better off staying on at school at this rate.

It's been almost 4 for me and French, and almost 2 for my Mandarin Chinese.... neither language I've used much of and probably forgot most of it

Yay, last day of work tomorrow before the Christmas break Might finally be able to start work on my project... doubt it though because I'm waiting on stuff to arrive

Woo, I'm back after too long of a break.... Totally not been sidetracked with projects or anything....

Well it kinda is... The last thing you want is to lose all power when going 50mph (which has happened) because it just decides to drop back into neutral and/or stall.
