  1. Tbh honest dude, These AMD cpus are outdated and their power consumption are like 300 ps3's running at once. So buying a fx cpu would be senseless and waste of money I would just save for more money, just like i did, and buy an i5 cpu, if you can with "k" so you can oc it. It really make a huge difference when overclocked an i5. I oc'd my 6600k to 4,5 ghz and gained in csgo over 100-200 fps more, arma 3(which is a super cpu intensive game) 20-30 fps more, battlefield 4 50 fps more. It's really crazy how much benefitial it is + power consumption is way better. I dont recommend buying an amd cpu. Its a waste of time these days
  2. I switched back to balance again, changed minimum power state to 0%, now everything works fine Thanks for your help guys
  3. Hello, I have a problem with the frequenzy and voltages after OCing my cpu Mainboard: MSI Gaming M5 (Latest bios included) Cpu: 6600k (Chipset drivers installed) I just moved back to Win7 from Win10, all updates installed (except the spy updates) Now, I wanted to Overclock it again, and I set every single Bios setting as before, but now on Windows 7 I have constant max voltage and max frequenzy even when idling. My OC Settings: 4,5Ghz @ 1,275V Stable Bios tells me I have a max voltage of 1.288V When I boot up, even after 5 minutes of idling in windows, I still have 1.228V and max frequenzy of 4,5 Ghz in HWMonitor I set Core voltage mode to adaptive mode, just like before on windows 10. Multiplier set to 45 in dynamic mode, also just like before. As I said every single bios setting is the same when I had windows 10 installed. On windows 10, when idling, my voltages and frequenzy was going down to the lowest numbers possible as it was supposed to be. Now on windows 7 it stays at its peaks all the time. Changing Power options from High performance to balanced does not work, even on power safer nothing changes How can I fix that?
  4. It's up to you what features you need. Both are good but If I was you, I would go for MSI 1. looks better 2. Newer 3. I had nothing but problems with asus products and the support of asus is fucked up too.

  6. Aight I OC'd my 6600k at 4,5Ghz@1,275v(Bios says 1,288v at maximum), ran CineBench R15 and a full hour stress test with Aida64 and it's stable. Is it good?
  7. Oh, ok now I understand what you mean. Alright I give it a try.
  8. The problem is, that when my system is Idling, my core voltage doesn't go down, it stays at that voltage all the time. And I think 4,5Ghz is enough for me, that 100Mhz would not make that of a huge difference, so I'd rather keep the 4,5Ghz and go with the voltage as low as possible. Since this is my first time OCing I dont want to overkill it 4,5Ghz is fine for me.
  9. Hello everyone, I just built my PC a week ago and now I'm ready to overclock. This is my first time ever I Overclock My goal is to get a stable OC @ 4,5 Ghz First some of my Pc Specs. Mainboard: MSI Z170 Gaming M5 CPU: 6600k GPU: MSI R9 390 PSU: BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 10 650Watt Ram: G.Skill 3000Mhz 8gb kits So, I watched Linus' OC Guide for Skylake CPU's and I was stable @ 4,5Ghz and 1.3V for 10 minutes in Aida64. Temps raised up to about 72°c Now hopefully you guys can help me, I'm asking you guys, what would be the best setting for everyday use and a stable OC @ 4,5Ghz The MSI Gamng M5 has 6 Settings: Auto Adaptive Mode Override Mode Offset Mode Adaptive + Offset Override + Offset Right now I'm in Auto mode, I guess it's the wrong setting to stay with. But I have no idea what setting to choose and which one would be the best. First I need to know which setting should I take and then I want to go down with the voltage. I dont want to stay at max voltage all the time Hope you guys can help me further!
  10. Seems like u guys have no idea of anything, until now this community couldn't help me once.. fixed by myself by typing in cmd "import" thats it
  11. Hi, I just built my new rig: 6600k Msi Gaming M5 Samsung Evo 250gb Now, Windows 7 installation worked after thousand of hours finally installed it. But i had problems everywhere, mouse didn't work well, keyboard also didnt work etc. Then I choose to install win 10, everthing good now, except that Win 10 doesnt show up my second HDD. In the bios I can see that it recognized it but booted up i have no access to the hard drive. I installed Intel Rapid Storage Technologie, it shows me that 2 drive are installed in this system. In "Disk Management" It tells me that the HDD is unknown. The SSD though is online. I cant format it because there are so many private stuff in it, what can i do? Sry for my bad english
  12. Yeah i had the same thoughts, for pure gaming an i5 is more than enough but the i7 could benefit much more. Do you guys experienced any difference in normal desktop usage between an i5 and i7? Is the i7 better for multi tasking or will the i5 also perform as good?
  13. Yeah hit me up if u see any big difference Is your 4690k oced? And are u able to run any game on maxed out settings with the i5 and titan x combo?
