  1. I'm going to be replacing the speakers in my car, anyone have opinions of speakers to buy? I'm not looking to spend a lot of money, I was looking at these from Pioneer on Amazon, anyone got anything better for the price? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014Z7ILY0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A232DEXWNE9181&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014Z7IIV6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
  2. I am looking at building a PC to use in my garage, and it's probably going to be on 24/7. Problem is it's a detached garage that is not heated or cooled, and I live in Ohio where winters get well below 0. Is leaving a PC running in that environment going to kill it, or even if it was off would be bad for it?
  3. I had to remove the hard drive and put it in another PC to move the files, which I was dreading because it's not an easy setup to work in, but that got it booted finnaly.
  4. That's not the screen it takes me to, that's the one I need to get to. The file was BasicDisplay.sys I have a backup that I just need to copy over the existing one and it'll do, so I just need to get it to just a command prompt. Even F8 going to safe mode doesn't boot.
  5. Does it show up in all display modes (VGA, HDMI, DVI, etc)? Maybe it's just there from on those ports or cables going bad? If it's there in all then there's really nothing to do about it.
  6. I have a dual Xeon machine on server 2016 (works very similar to Windows 10), and it won't boot. I know what I did to break it, it was a change to a file in the system32 folder. I get to a BSOD when I boot, it says It'll reboot on its own, but doesn't. I need to get to the advanced startup repair so I can boot to just command prompt, and rename the file back. Is there a way to force going strait there? Attached is the screen I need to get to.
  7. Mine would be 24pin power. It's like the largest connection.
  8. Tech N9ne just released his new album, have had that playing in my car since the 9th. This my favorite song.
  9. So if I read it right, your screen stays blank, but the PC is powered on, like lights and fans spinning? If that's the case, try plugging the video cable into the on board graphics, maybe there's a problem with the graphics card, if you have on. Also, if you have any other graphics cards laying around, try swapping one in. On another depressing note, the one and only time I killed a CPU, this is exactly how it acted. So it could be a problem with that Try unplugging all unnecessary hardware from the motherboard, like case fans, USB headers, expansion cards and hard drive. Maybe one of them are shorting it out.
  10. Just wanted to follow up and say thanks! This fixed it.
  11. I leave it off when I'm not using it, it had only been on for like 2 hours. I'll look that script up in a bit, do you have a link?
  12. I do have killer ethernet, I ran this, we'll see if it gets high again.
  13. Chromes using a couple hundred MB's, but not going to cause this.
  14. So something is wrong with my PC. Currently it says it's using 20GB's of RAM, but opening resource monitor, I see this. Which could not add up to anywhere near that amount. The stuff on the picture adds up to roughly 8GB's. Everything that is below the bottom of the screen is less than 24MB's, so worst case it could be like 2GB's additional. I have no idea what to do, but it's making my computer super slow. Virus scans get nothing. Memory tests show there's nothing wrong. Any Advice?
  15. Here's the motherboard: http://www.tyan.com/Motherboards_S7012_S7012GM4NR I did not get a redundant power supply, I'm trying to do this on a budget. Wouldn't a problem with the RAM still let the motherboard at least power on the fans that's plugged into or something? And then it would just give an error code during post about the RAM? I'll try reseating them, and blowing them out.
