  1. Okay, I'll try that. But the ASUS motherboard bios downloads are difficult to find.
  2. @Coaxialgamer can you please give me step by step instructions on how to update the BIOS for the ASUS Maximus Hero VIII? I am new to this.
  3. Also, would it be the motherboard that is causing this problem most likely?
  4. I heard that I have to download the updated BiOS to a flash drive and run it when my computer starts or something. Do I just have to download and run the update while my computer is turned on?
  5. Also when I record with OBS, the software crashes after I finish recording. Not only does the video file get deleted, but it slows down my entire system.
  6. Here is my Performance tab.
  7. When the computer lags or just normally?
  8. I'm positive it isn't malware that is causing it. Also, I'm not sure how to update my motherboard drivers. @VioDuskar @AresKrieger
  9. Hi everyone, I recently built my brand new gaming computer: CPU: i7 6700k 4.0ghz CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 970 4GB OC PSU: ThermalTake 600w Bronze Mobo: Asus Maximus VIII Hero RAM: Patriot 16gb DDR4 2400mhz Case: Zalman Full Tower (automatic switches) CD ROM: Asus Default (idk exact name) HDD: Weston Digital 2TB SSD: Samsung 250GB ...but the problem is, whenever I try to multitask my computer's performance gets really slow. I can run games at about 100-300 fps, but it's really, really choppy. For Windows, scrolling on a website is very choppy, along with just opening Control Panel and/or creating a new tab in Google Chrome. This really sucks because I'm trying to stream, but I can't have OBS, Spotify, Skype, or Steam open all at the same time. I have updated my GTX 970 drivers, nothing else. If you guys have any suggestions, please reply to this thread. Thank you! Chris
