  1. Hmm okay so Dell, Bestbuy and I just heard CanadaComputers too, but CC is in store only.... Does Dell let you do it online? say purchase order online and choose financing online? Thanks
  2. Hi everyone, I'm currently a teacher that's teaching in elementary school, and I'm looking for an all in one laptop (I really don't like the macbook air the school provides due to it being heavily locked out due to "security" and taking forever to get what you want installed or even most of the time rejected due to "security"). However I'm really tight on budget right now and I can't buy one straight out for the one I want (around 1500-2000, I really don't want to buy sub $1000 ones as most lack the power I need [I run android emulators for my class] or for my use). I'm looking at financing (aka monthly payment) options, but it seems like the only one I can find at least is the best buy financing option. I'm inquiring if anyone has had experience with best buy's financing option, is it okay or good or if there are any other companies that provide much better financing options? I'm in Canada. Thank you very much!
  3. HI guys, I'm building a new PC very soon, within the week, and I"m ordering part, and everything seems to be fine, but I noticed, and am not sure, but I don't think the MSI x99 SLi plus motherboard would fit into the Zalman Z11 NEO (A mid tower ATX case), can anyone confirm for me? Would greatly appreciate it.
  4. Hey guys, I'm planning on during my spare time after work, just streaming on Twitch for fun and good times, currently my new PC is being build and it's this: i7-5820k (I will be selling this to my friend and getting the new Broadwell-E's, the i7-6820k if it's the same naming scheme when it comes out) http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/VNjKrH This will my gaming PC, will the video editing also done on this, photoshop, and web browsing, teamspeak etc. (3 monitor setup), my 3 GTX 670's from the i7-2600k will go into this setup as triple Sli, and hang on there until the pascal cards come out. This is my current PC: i7-2600k 16 GB ram 120GB Samsung EVO 840 SSD,1 TB hard etc GTX 570 and a GTX 460 will come into this setup. this will have a 2 monitor setup, so into total I'll have 5 monitors. Anyways, with that said, will this soon to be "old" PC, is it strong enough to be the streaming PC? also which capture card would you guys recommend? I've been looking at the elgato, but is there a better choice for the money? Thank you!
  5. just out of curiosity, if I do wait, will it be compatible with 2011-3 socket?
  6. Hi guys, so I was originally gonna buy the 5820k, cause I do some video rendering and some gaming (while browsing), however I noticed that Broadwell-E (not EP) basically the i7-6960x ish series is coming out in Feb or March of next year, my question is, so far I've only seen one source state that current X99 boards will support it, by very likely just updating BIOS, however my question is, should I be safe and wait, or can I just buy the motherboard like next month already? Thanks!
  7. Sorry but got another question, looking to buy from this person on ebay, he's rating is 99.9% which is really good, but he says the condition of the item may be Grade B, so should I get that?
  8. Thank you for this, I was wondering whether I should wait b/c I'm worried I would need a new motherboard, guess not, so I'll just continue with my new build!
  9. Okay thanks guys, thanks for the help! It's too bad the motherboard can't support the Extreme QX versions of the 9xxxx's, and yep the BIOS is the latest version so here's to hoping everything will work fine when I get it !
  10. I heard about the Cryorig H7, however i noticed it's not compatible with the 2011-3 socket unfortunately, I probably will get just one 500GB< I'm just afraid of if one somehow fails.
  11. Hi Guys! Been watching Linus for a few years now, Wanting to start a build for the 3rd time in 8 years lol, a little rusty. I just want a little advice before I continue. SO far here is what I've chosen, HOWEVER, things subject to change, and this is where I need info, the motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler, and RAM are the four things I won't be buying yet, just because of the upcoming Nvidia cards. I know about NVlink, however I'm worried that when it comes out, and I've heard conflicting statements of whether you MUST have a motherboard with NVLink to work or not (so far I'm hearing the latter but do correct me if I'm wrong), and I'm concerned that motherboards that do come out with NVlink won't be available in the socket 2011-3 versions for the 5820k. Anyhow, here is what I've got so far, and I would like advice on it. Thanks! (Monitors aren't set for now, just there to wonder) http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/VNjKrH
  12. Oh I haven't used this thing in ages , just took it out after 5 years of being in the basement . Thanks for the advice guys, just as a quick check, this one is the right CPU? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/141794340201?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&fromMakeTrack=true EDIT: I forgot to ask, is there a chance that I may have to reinstall the OS? I know with a motherboard you do usually, but how about the CPu itself?
