  1. i am getting an EK 1080 water-block because that is what they said will fit
  2. Arctic pads are sold 50x50mm on their website. Also what thickness should i get?
  3. Im going to be building a new system when the new Ryzen drops, I have a 1070 Ti Duke and iv seen ads for Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut pads and was wondering if i can use that on the GPU die for a custom loop im going to build. If i can use those pads, what size will I need?
  4. So I upgraded to a new PC and I took my old HDD's ( 120gb OS, and 1TB for mass storage) and my raedion 5670 to my new PC. My new specs are AMD FX 8350, 2x4 gb of corsair vengeance ram, 750 xfx PSU, gigabyte 970a-ud3p (MOBO). I build the PC out of the case to post it and it posted, I then restarted it and it fully filled my screen ( my old PC had about a 1 inch border around my screen every time, I'm using a 50inch tv for my monitor via hdmi) when it posted the first time it had the border, when I restarted it it filled the whole screen. When I build it inside the case the PC only comes up with "safe mode" LOOK A LIKE, no internet connection, and missing drivers ( I know it's NOT safe mode because if it was safe mode it would say safe mode in the corners of my screen) Any ideas? Also I'm getting a GTX 970 arriving on Monday 11/30/15
  5. I'm getting a GTX 970 and Iv had plenty of research saying AMD is FINE I plan on getting the MOBO, CPU, GPU, RAM during Black Friday / cyber Monday
  6. So I'm going AMD (don't start this thread a Intel vs AMD thread) I'm thinking about getting this MOBO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128859&cm_re=990fxa-ud3-_-13-128-859-_-Product Since it will go with my green theme build, the only concern is the board performance with OC'ing And my CPU will more then likely be this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284 And I'll be cooling it with a 240M seidon water cooler Is this a good combo for OC'ing for gaming? (Please don't bring up Intel)
  7. Iv seen that board but it looks more olive drab and not "green" like the 970 me http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814127850
  8. Also even though Intel has higher benchmarking, in the real world INTEL and AMD are nearly the same, almost to the point where humans can't tell the difference (ie 85 frames or 90 frames) The only way I'll tell is my wallet feeling ALOT lighter with Intel LOL
  9. So the more I dig and the more I research, it's looking like AMD and Intel are about the same is gaming, YEA Intel will have slightly higher benchmarks, and about 5 more frames (ie 85 -> 90 fps) and all for ALOT MORE PRICE. Where I can go AMD, save money, get more CORES (which will help in future when we start using more cores in general) and be able to overclock like a beast
  10. What is the "best" Intel CPU for around 100-125 price range (low hundreds) for gamingEDIT I'll even go up to around 150$
  11. So if an Intel CPU says its "dual core" does to only have 2 cores? Or is it (dual core X 2 = 4 core)? Don't most common recent games require more then 2 cores?
  12. well the Z87 sniper is sold out on new egg and I don't see it on sale anywhere else Amazon has a used one for like 2,000$ for some reason With AMD AM3+ what would be a good board (mostly black) http://goo.gl/nb0VFv (Had to shorten this newegg link because it was one of those 5 page long links) Here is a list of some of the boards if found but I'm not sure which would be best because of the different (rev X.X)
  13. I plan on gaming (mostly) but I'm also going to be doing day2day stuff and light program multitasking is Intel still a better fit? Also my brother and my friends are saying AMD
  14. Back to my question before, with AMD FX 6300 I'll be paying about 100 and getting 6 cores with base 3.5(4.1 boost) AMD FX 6350 I'll be paying about 120 and getting 6 cores with base 3.9(Unlisted boost) Intel 4460 I'll be paying about 190 and getting 4 cores with base 3.2 (unlisted boost) I just don't see the point of buying an over priced Intel OTHER THEN buying the name
