Thats what Im hoping. Currently my 8320 has hit 60 degrees with the turbo turned off. I have an h100i. It's also supposed to be a good cooler lol.

My biggest concern honestly is cooling. I have had so much trouble with cpu thermals in the past

What about a Xeon e5 1620? 4 cores with ht and is clocked at 3.6ghz. Thoughts on that one?

Trying to decide on a budget cpu. I like these two. The catch is that, at the time of writing, I can get that Xeon for 180 used. This is a gaming rig. Primarily.

I cleaned them off already. But it wasn't slow for the temps rising. One day they are cool and stable with an OC and the next day I'm having to drop to stock speeds and max out my fan curve. Dust would slowly show performance decline

No, it's very cool in my room where I game. 69-70 degrees Fahrenheit

Max temp on mine is 55 degrees. That's a little to close for me. Especially since it ran 10 degrees cooler for an entire year with an OC.

I have an AMD fx 8320 being cooled by a corsair h100i. For close to a year I had it OC at 4.2 ghz and temps were never over about 43 degrees Celsius. Recently the temps just went crazy. I'm reaching 53 degrees playing csgo at STOCK speeds. I can't figure out why
