    Drp4

I have a Msi z370 matx mobo/8700k with a NH-D15. My problem is that the cooler blocks the first pci-e slot and if I try to put my gpu into the 2nd slot, then it blocks/kinda smushes the connectors on the bottom of the mobo. So does the drp4 (or any other large air coolers up to 170mm) have clearance for the a gpu in the first slot?
  2. Right on. I just live in a small town and don't really have any place to try such stuff out. Just trying to narrow down my options before I buy
  3. Do you (or anyone else) have any experience with the steel series Arctis 5 or 7? They look pretty nice and have decent reviews
  4. OK I'll look into them. Sound right up my alley. Any other suggestions?
  5. My old headphones (logitech g930) died on me the other night so I'm looking for a new one. Idc about wireless or rgb or anything like that. My main concern is decent sound quality (I'm not an audiophile, just need something ok) budget is between $100-150. Also don't necessarily need a mic, I mainly play RPGs Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks ETA: any opinions on the audio technica m40x/m50x? Had my eye on them for a while.
  6. I tried dp and hdmi on both the gpu and the igpu That's the conclusion that I came to. Is there a way to test the motherboard? I have no way of testing the cpu, I called the only computer shop in town to see if they had a test bench for the 8th gen crap and they don't.
  7. I recently swapped out my cpu/motherboard and psu on my system. Everything else is the same. Case: define mini c Mobo: Asus Z370-G Gaming (wifi ac) matx Cpu: 8700k Gpu: Asus gtx 1070 strix oc Psu: Evga g3 650 Ram: corsair lpx ddr4 3000 (16 gb) Storage: Samsung evo 850 500 gb I get no post leds (or beeps when I put a speaker on.) I get no display but all my fans come on, even the gpu. The rgb lights on the mobo also come on. Things I've tried: Clear CMOS Remove gpu, tried the Igpu. Still no display Swapped the new psu for my old psu. Took out ram and tried both sticks one at a time in every slot. Removed cpu, checked for bent pins. They're good. Checked every connector from psu, they're all plugged in tight. I also put my gpu and my new psu into my old system to make sure they work and they do. I can't try another pci-e slot either because my nh d15 blocks my first slot. I'm going nuts here, any suggestions?
  8. One of my friends suggested a company they've used for electronics parts 5 or 6 times on ebay. He says he's only had one bum part from the company and that they fixed it immediately. I just sent them an email asking if it is oem. If not I'll look into the batteries at ifixit. Thanks
  9. The battery in my Samsung galaxy tab s just recently crapped out on me. I've been trying to find oem parts for but I'm not having any luck. So I was wondering if there were any brands of parts that are generally considered good to go, and also if there are any to avoid. I'm going to order a battery and also, change the charging port since I'm already opening it up and I've found quite a few stories online about the charging ports going out on these
  10. It seems to me that your problem is the 1080p 60hz monitor/gtx 1080 combo. The 1080 is pushing out way more fps than the monitor can handle which is causing the screen tearing. Solution 1) Turn up the resolution in the games. Your GPU will be working harder but your monitor will still be limited to 1080p 60 fps. Also, a lot of games will give you the option to cap your frame rate in game. Cap it at 60 and your tearing should vanish. 2) Return your monitor and get a 1440p or 4k monitor so your gpu will actually have to do a bit of work. 3) Return the gpu and get a weaker gpu (gtx 1080 is way overkill for 1080p, my gtx 1070 will max out most games at 1080p)
  11. I think the rest should be pretty straight forward. The only cases I've ever built in have been fractals, they don't really change much if it works lol. I'll be sure to send you a pm though if I do run into something unexpected.
  12. full30Just FYI, I did not read through all 6 pages of this but I did see a few posts about alternate sites that could host firearm videos. There has been one for 2 or 3 years since the last time youtube messed with gun videos. It's called full30 and most of the major gun channels on youtube also post there.
  13. Right on, Thank you. I've tried googling this but I couldn't find an answer. I appreciate it.
  14. How long is your psu, just fyi? My psu is only 150mm,so if your psu is like a 180mm+ or something I'll probably need slightly longer cables than you suggested.
  15. Yes sir, I want full cables, not extensions. I'll update my post to clarify
