  1. Hi all! I recently got a external HDD from a family member with this error message "J:\ is not accessible. Access is denied." To retrieved the documents on it, I have attempted to change the security of the drive to allow full control. The furthest i got was that I managed to open the drive on windows, where some files were read only. As I am clueless how the permissions work on Windows, I unfortunately ended up back to square one where "J:\ is not accessible. Access is denied." is shown after some tinkering. The drive appears to be working fine as I am able to open it up on my Macbook. However, I was unable to copy several files out of the harddrive and the only option was manually open them and save as a new file which proves difficult as there are thousands of documents on the drive. Would greatly appreciate if anyone could provide some guidance on how i could change the permissions for the documents! Thank you!
  2. Yup already tried 2 different HDMI cables and same results
  3. Hello, I would like some advice on this GPU issue I am having. Basically the card is a second hand Sapphire R7 260 1GB. It initially started about 1 week ago when I would suddenly just lose signal when gaming. Unplugging and plugging in HDMI yield nothing. This issue became more often of late and happens even when I simply boot into windows to use google chrome. I simply left the machine to cool for awhile and its apparently working now again. There is no artifacts or any other issues except random signal lost. I had unplugged and plugged in all my power cables and signal cables again. Reinstall the drivers and the issue still persist. Is this something of an issue with the GPU itself overheating or so? Any advice would be appreciated!!! To add on...I did get this card second hand from China to hopefully tide my need for a GPU for awhile (#miningcraze). While the price was right for a second hand card, the cooler and appearance looks as original, I wouldnt be surprised if its a the fake chinese GPU scam whereby they sell a lower clocked card that appears as a high end card in the system. What I would really hope to solve is just if I could fix this signal lost issue as I generally still am using my PC mainly for browsing and MS office. Gaming is a bonus but I can live without it :'). Thank you once again! System specs (yeah... its pretty old hence i didnt wanna splurge on a new gpu for awhile) Intel I5-2500k MSI P67-C45 G.Skill 8gb Ram Corsair HX 650W Sapphire R7 260 1gb
  4. Hi all, I recently am encountering this problem whereby I am just surfing on Google Chrome and often, when I am switching tabs, the screen just freezes and becomes unresponsive. The mouse still moves but everything else stays in place. At times, everything would resume after a few seconds where else there are times when a reset is needed. It is only after one of the major windows 10 updates that I received a few days ago that seems to have done a major overhaul to some of the interface that this problem is plaguing me to the point I have to reset my computer about 6 times a day. I suspect this issue is due to some form of ram or memory allocation whereby something in the background seems to be running which then freezes and jam my screen. Does any one have any experience or advise on how I ought to solve this? Some specs I have are - Windows 10 64 bit - Intel I5 3500k - AMD R9 280 - 8gb of Ram Thank you!
  5. I will have to be honest that I prolly have an absolute zero experience in soldering. This IEM has been collecting dust on the shelf and since my main IEM is on repair, I was attempting to seek solutions to hopefully get this spare to work.
  6. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has any experience which such unique cases of faulty IEMs and so on. The history of this particular IEM (UE 700), is that it has been re terminated two times due to the usual faulty 3.5 jack/broken wire issue. However, as time progress, faults started to arise elsewhere. Left Channel: Apparently, the cable has to be bend at a certain angle for sound to be produced but the sound is still crisp and clear. The area which I had to bend was the connecting point between the wire & the iems itself, hence I suspect this to be a mere case of a broken wire. Right Channel: The sound is definitely not as crisp as the sound on the left. There is still sound, but it seems to be muffled and distorted. Has the driver been damaged or broken in this side? I understand that reshelling may fix the cable issues but there is still the possibility of a faulty right-side driver, rendering the expensive reshelling costs a waste. Therefore, I was wondering if the community has any thoughts and opinions oh how I could fix this IEMs or so? Any help is appreciated !
