  5. Hello everyone, i recently bought a rosewill rdcr 11004 (internal sd card reader) the other day and do not know which correct cable to get. The rosewill rdcr 11004 has two molex (first pic) connectors coming out of it, i attached a Y molex connector to those two (second pic) and realized i need a third molex connector (third pic) in order to get to the power supply, to power the rosewill) Will this third molex connector work? (third pic) thank you
  6. i did. Im seeing if anyone else has any thoughts on it.
  7. I hope i am posting this on the right forum, if not i apologize. About 6 months ago Back in August of 2015 i messed up my Macbook playing WoW on it. Note: I bought this macbook back in 2011/2012 I had been playing on my laptop which had been sitting on my desk for most of its life. One day i got really lazy and decided to set it up via hdmi to my tv so i could play from my bed. (yeah, pretty lazy right) The way i set it up was not the best. I had my laptop sitting on my computer chair (see pic) with all the cables coming out of it from there. I had been using that set up for about a week (i got way really lazy that summer). Then one day the screens image distorted and turned black then powered off. After that happened i put the laptop aside, built a computer and havent really touched it since. I powered it on today and received this log in screen (see pic, black line is from snapchat to blur out my name) very distorted image with obvious lines going across , doesnt look normal. After typing in my password, the loading bar loads up to about a third of the way and then gives me a white screen (see pic) and won't load past that screen. Also it can only stay powered on with the charger plugged in to it. After going through that, my first thought was i had damaged the graphics card from the excessive amount of heat when it was sitting on the computer chair. Than i thought i could try buying a brand new battery to see if that may help things, but im thinking not. What do you guys think. fixable? Any info/theories are appreciated! thank you

  9. Do you have 2 separate monitors to recommend for each gaming and designing then, like one for gaming and one for designing.
  10. Is there a 27" monitor that can provide high contrast colors and high frame rates for gaming? im looking for the best possible monitor when it comes to those 2 things. Its time to upgrade from my tiny acer monitor
  11. I tried to format my drive to ExFat yesterday but in order for me to have formatted the hd to ExFat all my data had to be erased, so i did not end up doing that
  12. About 3 weeks ago my 5 yr old macbook pro died on me. thankfully everything was saved on an external HD (WD My Passport for Mac). After my laptop died i built a whole new pc with windows 10. I knew the External HD was not going to be accessible on my pc. i did some research on how to access the files on my Windows OS but ot will erase all the files on the HD if I format it differently to be read on Windows. My plan is to get a new External, then take my old external, plug it in to a mac, transfer all files from the mac external to the new external (on a macbook), transfer everything back onto my windows pc, then use it solely for my pc Is there a external out there that is compatible with mac and windows so i can do this. all info is welcomed
  13. Should I just press the button then try powering it back on? I wonder if when I took the back plating off I hit something with the back plate
  14. This is all new to m . What is a CMOS button
  15. So yesterday I finished my build and everything was fine powered up you can see everything on the monitor. While installing the operating system it did not recognize any devices to be put on. So I looked in my computer to see if I had connected the SATA power and sata data cables correctly. As I looked in the computer I saw that I did not plug in one of the SATA power cables to the SSD. So I powered everything off. I took the back casing off of my computer and plugged it in as I went to turn it back on it did not power up I check to make sure the power cables were in and everything was hooked up. After this happened I put everything down and went to bed and figured I'll just look at it tomorrow. As I came home from work today and took the computer downstairs opened it up unplugged all the wires and plug them back in and still there was no power. So my first thought was to see if my PSU was still working. Took out the 24 pin connector and took a paper clip and put it in the green and black ports unplugged everything for my PSU and turn the power on just from the PSU. The PSU did power up. After witnessing this I plugged the 24 back into the motherboard to try and see if power would restore. After doing that then plugging in the 24 cable i hit the power button of the computer on the case and there was no power. So I'm guessing that its my motherboard. Does this sound like an accurate guess as to what is wrong I'll list my components below. I apologize for any typos I am talking into my phone because I have no computer haha Case Thermal take level 10 gt I7 4790k MSI gaming 5 Corsair cx600 MSI gtx 970
