I watched the WAN show and I saw that net neutrality is a topic up for discussion because of Trump being elected. I'm not well versed in politics and want to know what the net neutrality laws changing mean for an internet user such as myself. From what I understand the basics of net neutrality having the internet "open" so you can browse and go to any sites you want (basically) but the forces that oppose the neutrality revolve around companies making you pay more money for a faster internet connection, but what I don't understand is how is that any different from what my ISP (Time Warner Cable or Spectrum now) is doing by having different internet package deals ex. Basic = 10mbps, Turbo = 20mbps. I read articles stating that this will be a problem for internet users such as Netflix users, and although I don't use netflix, I primarily watch videos on my computer.
TLDR: Trump is president. I watch videos. What does it mean for someone like me if the laws get changed?
