  1. I did try that as well it was suggested on the CoD Forums. It also did nothing unfortunately. I wish it was just a simple fix like this.
  2. So I built a new PC a few months back and it has the weirdest issue when trying to play CoD Warzone. After booting up the PC starts to chug and after troubleshooting for days and monitoring things it is causing the CPU to go from 4.9ghz on all cores to 700mhz on all cores and everything just slows to a crawl. The FPS drops and it basically becomes unusable. Oddly the PC can crush any other game thrown at it with no issues. Games like Cyperpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider to name a few that I have played on it. I cannot figure out what the issues are. I have tried driver updates, reinstalling everything from scratch, and disabling the CPU Overclock. I really enjoy playing it with friends but can't seem to get the game to run. Here are the PC Specs. CPU: Intel 10900k GPU: MSI 3080 Ventus 3x RAM: Trident Z Neo 64gb at 3600mhz OS: Windows 10 Home PSU: Corsair RM1000 Gold Power Supply Storage: 1TB M.2 WD Black, 2TB SSD Samsung 970EVO Plus Any advice on this frustrating issue would be appreciated. Thanks.
  3. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. Thank you so much for the insight. Made this decision so much easier!
  4. Well for one the price, when the new cards come out 2080ti may get a price drop and second the issue with the new nvidia cards may be too much for my current system. A worry I have with the 2080ti already.
  5. So my PC was amazing for a good 5 years. I currently run a I7 6700k, with 32g of RAM, and a 980Ti. It's not lagging to far behind in games but I am looking to boost my gaming potential for another couple of years and am debating between just throwing a 2080Ti in and calling it a day or biting the bullet and building a new PC from the ground up. I'd rather save the money if I can and go with just the graphics card upgrade but I am not sure if a 2080Ti will throttle my system or will it work fine for a few years until I am really ready to build a new PC. If you have any advice on what way I should go please help me out here. Thanks!
  6. my last resort is to connect my old 1080p monitor and just record games on that, and reserve my ultrawide monitors for obs and twitch windows
  7. So I am not sure how to fix this, or if even this is the place to ask. I bought a couple of 1440p LG monitors when they went on sale and loved them so much. The problem is when I record footage for my youtube channel I want to put up the videos in 1080p. I use OBS to record and when I upload there is the issue that my video looks squished after resizing it in adobe premiere. I dont want to switch back to recording on my 1080 monitor and I dont want the black bar issue if I try and record games in windowed mode. Any suggestions?
  8. Hi. I recently purchased two LG 25" Ultrawide Monitors at Frys in California. The problem I am having is I cannot change the second monitor to 2560x1080. It is stuck at 1920x1080 and its just annoying. I have them hooked into a 980ti SC by EVGA and figured that card could handle both displays at max or am I wrong? Do I need to buy a better cable for the second monitor. The first monitor is in the card straight from an HDMI cable. The second monitor is connected via a display port to hdmi connector and then into the display. The monitors only have hdmi capability. Please help.
  9. Hi, I am looking to build a new super pc with a budget of around 3k. I am set on my choices for the case and graphics card. I am torn on the CPU and other parts to maximize my build. The purpose is high end gaming with some video editing / streaming. Any help would be appreciated. Thinking of using a double or even triple monitor setup if I can. Here is what I have so far. Case - Corsair Graphite 730 T ( I love the Giant panel on this case for showing my rig) CPU - I7 6700K or I7 5930k Mobo - ?????? Graphics Card - 980Ti Ram - 32Gigs DDR4 PCU - NZXT Hale90 V2 1200 Watt Other Necessary Parts - ?????? Haven't decided what mobo to go with since I haven't locked down what CPU I want yet. Please list a full build using my budget of 3k for HIGH END Gaming and Video Editing / Streaming. I am heavily leaning towards white colored parts where I can get them and I do not want to have to paint anything. This is my first PC build and for reference as to what I am coming from, I have mostly gamed on an old Asus G72 GX for the past 6 years.
  10. Thanks for the replies so far. I do plan on starting a small youtube channel and using this rig for some editing as well. I figure the cpu should be good at both. Sorry I should have mentioned that in my initial post.
  11. Hello linustechtippers, new here and after binge watching most of the linustechtips youtube videos I have decided to build a new Gaming rig but I am stuck at my starting point and picking the CPU. Performance wise which is better 5960x or the 4960x? CPU boss gives the edge to the 5960x while a simple google search from futuremark.com for processors in september of this year has the 4960x 5 places higher at number 1. So money not being an issue which one will give me the best gaming performance now and last me longer as cpu tech improves in the years to come. Thanks for the answers and helping get off to building my new gaming behemoth.
