  1. Hey So i was just doing some research for homework, and I came across this article about spotting if your child is a hacker. Whilst reading it I read the following passage: "If your son has requested a new "processor" from a company called "AMD", this is genuine cause for alarm. AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking.AMD chips are never sold in stores, and you will most likely be told that you have to order them from internet sites. Do not buy this chip! This is one request that you must refuse your son, if you are to have any hope of raising him well. " I was not sure if i should be shocked, surprised or angry. Any thoughts? And I just wanted to double check I'm not the uninformed one... Really i just wanted to share it for all to see.. the article: http://www.adequacy.org/stories/2001.12.2.42056.2147.html ps. I'm not trying to start an Intel vs AMD, so don't start it.

  5. Hey guys, recently came upon this deal. Just wondering its worth its price to go into a budget gaming build. I'm not looking for the highest frame rates and max settings, just enough to run a few games here and there at medium or high settings. I was planning on spending around $125 on the cpu, before I saw this deal. However, I understand that hardware already a few years old like this may be no match for cheaper hardware today. Thanks in advance ps i understand this is in UK, i live here so no problem with buying it lol
  6. Thanks, although it does come up in notifications anyway
  7. Greetings, I often see people talking about having an SSD alongside a Hard Drive to speed up the OS. They that they put the OS and steam on the SSD but all other files on the Hard Drive. These are the concerns that I have about doing these: 1)How do I know if I am putting (Steam) onto the SSD or the the HDD. Is it as simple as drop and drag into the other storage device? 2)When I am booting my PC for the first time how do i know that i am saving my OS to my SSD? 3) If I were to 'add an SSD later' then how would I move the OS onto the SSD - I thought that was a very difficult process? Thanks in advance - I know these questions may seem obvious to some!
