  1. Thanks! I am using a Zotac GTX 980 Ti Amp Extreme! Ill assume it does the same thing then...
  2. Hello everyone! Something strange is showing up in the Corsair Link software: Is this bad?
  3. Hello everyone! This forum has helped me so much up to now! I am finally done actually building my first pc and fired it up. Now, in the BIOS it shows that my RAM is running at 2133mhz but I am sure that I bought RAM that should run at 2400mhz. I haven't installed my OS yet but I was wondering why this is. Also, if anyone of you happens to know a good resource on the web to get to know what I should do in order to set up my system properly I would really much appreciate a hint! Thanks, Amadeus
  4. Hello everyone! I just build the Zotac GTX 980 Ti Amp! Extreme into my Corsair 750D and I am afraid it will break my Mobo! It's actually slightly tilted down in direction of the case interior. I only plugged it into the PCIe Slot of my Mobo and stabilised it with 2 screws at the back of the case. Can I do anything else? Is this bad? Thanks!
  5. Thanks! It was on an extra sheet that I missed when I was looking for the solution. But I found it!
  6. Hi all, I have a question: I am about to connect the graphics card mentioned in the title to my PSU. There are 2x8 pin outlets on the graphics card. With the card came TWO 8pin to 2x 6pin adapters. Why exactly did I got these? With what cables do I have to connect the card to the PSU? With my PSU (Seasonic X 1050) I actually got a cable 8pin (into PSU) to 2x 8pin (into the card). Can I use this cable? Will there be enough power coming from the PSU? Thanks!
  7. I have a question about this as well: Do I understand it correctly, that I plug the SATA power connector into the PSU (instead of the Mobo)? For that I can just use a 6 pin molex to SATA cable that was delivered with my PSU? Thanks!
  8. Guys, I am a absolute beginner. I am just in the process building my new (and first) PC and I thought it would be much easier than it actually is.. I have the ASUS X-99/UB 3.1 Mobo and the Seasonic X 1050 PSU. The biggest cable is for powering the Mobo. On the one end, there is a 24 pin plug on the other sider there is a 18pin and 8pin plug. The PSU is modular and the manual is horrible (at least I find it explains NOTHING!) Do I have to plug both of these into the PSU? And the 24 pin into the Mobo? Also for the EATX12V, do I just use one of the delivered 8 pin cables? Thanks in advance!!!
  9. I guess that's what I meant! No native speaker over here...
  10. Hi there! I was wondering of what fans are good quality to ensure a nice airflow in my upcoming build. Should I replace the included fans? And should I place fans in ALL the available slots? If so, what are reputable manufacturers for radiators or what are very great models that got nice feedback? Thanks so much!
  11. Wow, that was really quick! Thanks guys! Seems like most of you are in agreement about the XB270HU. Even this one seems to have it all, including an IPS panel, why is the ROG Swift so hyped that even Linus himself somewhere in the forums stated that he uses it for gaming? Whats the difference between the two (except that the ROG Swift uses a TN panel)? @BobaBalls: The Acer Predator xr341ck would indeed be super nice but I neither want to wait until the G-Sync version is released nor are the $1300 that it retails for here in Europe acceptable to me ... Need to wait.
  12. Hi guys, I am in need of a new monitor (as I have none right now and am just in the process of finishing a high-end build with two GTX 980 Ti's). I am really interested in the ultra wide screens but since almost all of them suffer backlight bleeding or have low refresh rates I think I am going to wait a little while until the variety has broadened a bit with everything to come in the next couple of months/within the next year. I need it for gaming, photo-/video-editing and not so much for watching movies. From what I grasped this far I should go for an IPS panel for better color accuracy. Since I really like to play Dota II I also find displays with 144 Hz intriguing (though I haven't played with anything above 60 Hz this far...). I hope I can get some top-notch displays in this price segment and would really appreciate if you would make some suggestions of what to go for and especially why you'd go for it. I am not really experienced regarding how much things like refresh rate, reaction time G-Sync are going to affect my actual gaming sensation in reality. Thanks much in advance! Best, Amadeus
  13. Thanks for the inputs! I found what you were talking about: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/228327-pcie-lanes-pcie-8x-vs-16x-in-sli/ I think I'll go with the 5820K then and save another $200 which I'll spend for a nice display! Thanks so much everyone! Really appreciated the help I got here!
  14. Okay, so i UPDATED my build to look like this: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-5930K 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($559.98 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($139.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus X99-A/USB 3.1 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($254.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($219.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($155.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($198.10 @ Amazon) Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB AMP! Some of my thoughts: - New case, not as crazy as the CM Cosmos II but still enough room and good reviews! I think the R5 will be too cramped once I upgrade to two of these monstrous Zotac cards! - I actually want to go for a smaller SSD as some of you suggested and also chose the 850 EVO over the 850 PRO since supposedly there is not much difference in performance (Just warranty, but 5 years on the EVO are fine for me!) between the two - I deliberately did not go for a skylake since I want the two more cores for CAD/music making/video-editing of the 5930K - I want to add a second of the Zotac cards later on (2-way SLI) - Since the Zotac GTX 980 Ti Amp! Extreme needs two 8-pins as power supply (16 altogether) I need the 5930K over the 5820K to use two of these in SLI (since the 5820K only has 28 pins) - Correct me if I am wrong! Please, I am not sure about this! - The PSU is overkill, but what I could save (in Switzerland) for a lower one is not much and thus I am future-proofing a little bit and have some headroom in case I decide to overclock Since the Corsair H110i GTX 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler is currently out of stock in all of Switzerland... can you suggest a similar performing AIO? Thank you very much in advance!
