FearsAdvantage's Achievements

  1. If I were to get the 4690k what type of performance could I see by overclocking it?
  2. I'm looking at getting a GTX 970. But that won't be for another 2 months or so. ACL surgery kinda holding my PC building down.
  3. The parts I have listed I already own. The CPU is the last part that I need. What is the difference between the 4460 and the 4690k specs wise?
  4. Sorry for reposting. I accidentally posted it on my old account that I'm no longer going to be using. Ok so to make this short and sweet, I have a really tight budget right now. Like $150 tight. All I have left to get for my PC is my CPU. I don't have a graphics card right now but just plan on playing league until I get one. I need a CPU that has good enough integrate graphics. Should I wait a while and save to get the 4790k or just go out and get the i3-4170. Or would I actually be better off getting the i5-4690k instead of the 4790k? I know the 4790k will give me a little future proofing, but why spend the extra $100 when I can overclock the 4690k and it will almost be just as fast? Or am I wrong on that? I'm just really stuck here. I'm ready to get my PC up and running. I listed the parts that I already have below with links. Thanks in advance. Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury White 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair 860W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive: Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM (64-bit)
  5. I already bought the PSU. Got it pre-owned and on sale for Newegg for about $80 I think. Seen the price and really couldn't pass it up. I know 86o is really overkill for my build. The 750 you linked is nice though. Might get it for my fiancees build.
  6. That was my plans with the the 850. Thanks for your input.
  7. So I'm in the middle of building my PC and decided to get some opinions on my parts. Also some suggestions for parts would be great. For example, I have a GTX 960 SSC on my list but should I spend a few extra bucks on the 970 instead. I have my case, mobo, PSU and cd drive. My build theme is white, soooo obviously that is a big influence on some of my choices. I'm mainly going to be playing games like LoL, CS: GO and Minecraft. I'll also be streaming to twitch. I eventually want to get into other PC games like BF. Well here is the link to my list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wyb9zy .
