  1. I'll give that a shot
  2. I would probably recommend upgrading the PSU. With all the upgrades you are interested in, you will approach 250 Watts, and you should always leave some extra power headroom as well.
  3. Hello, Just built a new system. My motherboard is the Asus ROG Strix x570-I. For some reason I do not have any audio through rear io. RealTek drivers are installed, straight from the asus website. The device manager does not recognize that speakers or headphones are plugged in. It only recognizes Nvidia High Definition Audio as a device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers several times and looked around the internet for a while and I found this. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/all/realtek-audio-console-not-opening-gives-error/428d86bd-0fac-46d7-8a8f-eac9a4543e0b When I looked in services, RealTek Universal Audio Service was missing. I'm not sure how to continue. I'm really really hoping that this is a driver problem, or maybe I'll just have to refresh windows. The only other thing I can think of is that the board is defective.
  4. The rad does have a fan mounted. If you look at an image of the evolv shift, you will see that there is room for another fan on the front wall of the case. I was originally planning on mounting that fan in front of the motherboard but the gpu bracket gets in the way. I am planning on ordering one of those super low profile fans to see if that will fit.
  5. SpookyCitrus, The rad is probably okay where it is, there are only two spots for case fans. One at the bottom and one near the motherboard tray. That is fairly obstructed by the graphics card though. It would be good to have more air running across the mother board. I will remount the aio for sure and see if that helps
  6. I'm planning on making a design on the front panel and that should also give it some more room to breath as well. I'll try some changing the thermal paste as well. I have a new tube on hand.
  7. That's a lot hotter than I'm used to, especially coming from intel. I mean, it's getting there though. I'd still be happier around 35C
  8. Hello all, I just put together my new system. I have a 3800X, 16gig kit of 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro, an Asus Strix x570-i, with an NZXT Kraken M22, all in a Phanteks Evolv Shift. Before I begin, I know, the shift has awful airflow. I noticed there was an issue even without the side panels. In the bios, I noticed that the cpu was idling around 35 C and the package was around 40 C. After allowing it to sit for a while, not side panels on, it got up to 45C. After installing windows and all side panels, while completing tasks like checking email, with some downloads in the background, the temperature hovers around 60C. I am kind of hesitant to do run any benchmarks. Taking off the front panel does drop it down about 10C. The aio is mounted in the bottom of the case. There is an intake next to it. I remember there being issues with boards giving too much power to some amd chips some time back but I know this is the latest bios. I don't expect it to be any lower than 40C at Idle. Any suggestions would be welcome
  9. Thanks @KWelz, so mount the radiator on the front wall of the case, not on the floor. Is it possible to mount next to the motherboard or is it too close to the board? Would you also be able to send a pic of your system?
  10. Hello, I'm thinking about getting an evolv shift x and was wondering if anyone has used it. I'd like to use one of the NZXT kraken AIOs but I'm not sure what will fit with one 3.5inch hdd installed. The manual says you can fit two drives without any radiators mounted. Has anyone fit a radiator in this case as well as at least one 3.5 inch drive, also what size did you use? Thanks
  11. The second processor works, but not in that socket. is it a setting I could be missing?
  12. Hello, I have two X5660s and a Tyan s7012. I had some issues getting it to post but was able to get it to post with a single X5660 installed. When I install the second, the system fails to post. I have updated the bios to the most recent revision. A green light blinks near the second cpu. I've tried multiple ram configurations
  13. update: I removed one cpu and am now able to enter the bios. The bios version is from 5/11/2011
  14. Before I do that, is there any chance that it is a dead board?
  15. I'm not sure. That could be it. It there anyway for me to update the bios without a 5500 series cpu?
  16. Hello, I have dual X5660s, 32gb of ecc ram and a Tyan S7012 motherboard. When I turn on my PSU, fans begin to spin immediately, even without the front panel i/o. I was wondering if anyone would be able to offer some suggestions. Thanks!
  17. Hey guys, So I'm building in the Rosewill RSV-R4000 and I picked up a SSI EEB board instead of a SSI CEB board. This case is only suppose to fit an ATX of SSI CEB board. Has anyone had experience building in this case? Do you think I could squeeze in a EEB board with a little modification or would it be worth returning for a CEB board? Thanks!
  18. Hello, my Uncle gave me four Cerwin-Vega VS-120 speakers. I decided that I would set up a second home theater in my basement. I ran speaker wire, and have them all running off of a Yamaha RX-V773 reciever. I haven’t been able to get any audio, not even static! I checked the fuses on all of the speakers and they are all good. I’m not very well versed in this stuff, if anyone has any suggestions I would be appreciative, thanks!
  19. Yes, the joyeuse is the only keyboard with a number pad, and it is sold out or unavailable everywhere I have looked.
  20. Hello all, my keyboard died on me so I have started the search for a new one. I'm looking for a full sized backlit mechanical keyboard with bluetooth. My current keyboard was a wireless membrane keyboard that allowed connection with up to four devices via four keys above the number pad, and I would like something similar. If possible I would like to find something that is also low profile. I have only found two keyboards that have these features, and I have listed them below. The Azio keyboard is out of my price range, and the Drevo keyboard seems to be unavailable anywhere I look, and it also seems to have poor reviews. I have looked at other Drevo keyboards, but this seems to be the only one with a number pad. Does anyone have any suggestions for a keyboard? Thanks!! http://www.aziocorp.com/webe/html/products/index2.aspx?num=172 https://www.drevo.net/product/keyboard/joyeuse
  21. I see some good options but I need a stereo audio out
  22. Is anyone familiar with a good hdmi switcher that can output at 4k 60+ hz with a stereo audio output? If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
  23. There must be a better way, my hdmi switch outputs at 4k, and all of the audio extractors output video at 1080, and most do not have auxiliary outputs.
  24. Hello, I was accessing a hub via EiskaltDC++, and accidentally shared some files that I should not have shared. Is there any way to take them down? Also I do understand that if someone has downloaded them, that cannot be changed, but if these files remain, it will be easy to identify me.
