  1. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7559 laptop and its screen has been broken for a long time. So, I used to use it with my TV through HDMI. In those days, the signal sometimes wouldn't be sent to the TV when I booted the system and I'd just get a blank screen (no error code from the diagnostic LED btw). Then I figured out that the laptop was giving out the signal to the broken built-in screen instead of through HDMI to my TV. So all I did was unplug the LCD connector from the laptop's motherboard so that HDMI would be my only output. It worked and everything was good until I had to use my laptop in other rooms in my house because the TV was already pre-occupied (I live with my family). So I got a VGA monitor from my friend to set up my workplace in another room. I also got a HDMI to VGA adapter as my laptop doesn't have a VGA port. But now I can't get a signal out to the monitor on boot. The laptop gives an error code (through its diagnostic LED indicator) which converts to "LCD failure". Like it works if I connect the laptop to the VGA monitor and the laptop was already on or in sleep mode. But if I restart or boot afresh while connected to the VGA monitor, I get nothing except the error code. I have to connect it to the TV every time I boot to make it POST and then connect it to the VGA monitor for it to work. Can somebody please help? Thanks in advance.
  2. Yes I'm pretty sure. He is a friend who also knows computer stuff.
  3. I have a Western Digital My Passport External HDD. Normally it is very responsive and fast. I lent it to a friend and after he returned it to me, the HDD became very laggy. The read and write speeds are very slow and the response time is also very slow. Copying a file is almost impossible because the speeds are around 1 MB/s. I tried scanning the HDD for any viruses too but the drive is so slow that it is taking forever for the antivirus to scan it. Screenshots are attached below. Please help me as I have important data on that drive. Thank you
  4. It's offline maybe. The installer size is 29 MB
  5. I installed python on my windows 10 computer. Then I uninstalled it for some reason. Now I want it again. But when I try to install it, it shows an error and now I can't install python. Refer to the screenshots for details. Please help me.

  7. No it's not a prank. I've tried changing it's formats but it's not working. Even the antivirus is showing a virus detection.
  8. So can anyone tell me what should I be doing now to recover my files or repair my hard disk ? Please help me. I have very important files on that disk.
  9. Ikr !! But look at it. Windows is showing that it's a screensaver type file or whatever it is
  10. I had given my external hard disk to my friend as he needed some files and he returned it to me today. When I connected it to my computer, I saw that all the folders were changed to .scr and I couldn't access any of them. I even scanned it with Avast but selected the repair option on detection but when the virus got detected it showed a write error. Please help me. I have very important files on my disk.
