  1. Just wanted to update - I'm extremely pleased with my choice. Performance is amazing and the card is so much more quiet than I expected
  2. Hiya, I'm currently using afterburner/rivatuner to display ingame fps / cpu package /gpu data but I'd like to view the same data in a historical context - do you know if it's possible with those applications or a different one?
  3. I ended up going with the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 Ti AMP
  4. This? https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=11G-P4-2382-KR It's outside my budget
  5. All 3 cards are within my budget (I'm moving from an MSI Gaming 6GB 980Ti): Palit GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING PRO OC - http://www.palit.com/palit/vgapro.php?id=3006&lang=en Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Ti WINDFORCE 11GB - https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N208TWF3-11GC#kf ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Triple Fan 11GB - https://www.zotac.com/product/graphics_card/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-triple-fan I'm mostly leaning towards the Gigabyte because it's a brand I'm more familiar with and it has 3 fans The other 2 have higher clock speeds with factory OC but the Palit only has 2 fans (I don't want anything too noisy) and I'm unfamiliar with the Zotac brand.
  6. Should there be some play between the pcb and the cooler unit? Temps seem ok but I think they could be better and I'm wondering if it's because the cooler can move a bit.
  7. So I got it installed but the cooler has a tiny bit of play in it. I am not sure how much tighter I dare make it.
  8. Hi, Unscrewing the backplate so I can remove the front plate and place the heatsinks over the vram/ram modules means the screws now have nothing to screw into - is the gpu cooling mount sufficient to hold it on securely?
  9. Got the X61 setup as intake with 2 noctua's in pull and one in back as exhaust. Seems to be good enough but I'll revisit after a few days of gaming and monitoring temps. I like the cam software too.
  10. ok, so my water cooler is bjorked so I'm returning it and replaicng it with a 280mm nzxt kraken x61. Totally need to re-think my re-think now, grrrr.
  11. ok, I've just purchased 3x NF-A14 pwm's and 1x NF-A14 PPC 2000 pwm. I suspect the best thing to do is just try different layouts and see how they perform.
  12. Hi guys, I've recently built a new pc and, whilst I'm happy with the performance of my machine, I have reservations about the cooling. My specs: Motherboard Asus Maximus Hero VII Processor Intel -7 4790k Memory 16GB Corsair Vengance DDR3 Video Card MSI GTX 980TI Gaming Graphics Card Hard Drive # 1 Samsung 840 EVO 256GB Hard Drive # 2 WD Velociraptor 250GB Cooling Corsair H90 Power Supply EVGA 850W SuperNOVA Gold Case Fractal Design R5 Black w/Window Sound Card Onboard Monitor Dell U2515H Here is a picture of my current setup: http://i.imgur.com/q9yPjjC.png The two fans at the front are intake and there's an exhaust between the radiator and the rear of the case. The exhaust fan is the one that came with the H90 liquid cooling system, one of the intakes is the case supplied 140mm and the lower intake is a Corsair AF 140mm. I've read up a fair amount on the different fan setups, the different types of fan, static pressure, radiator rib density etc and I'm a little undecided on what types of fan to purchase for each area. I'm definitely wanting my new fans to be all PWM - there are 4x 4-pin fan connectors on the mobo. I was considering just getting 4x Noctua NF-A14 PWM fans - 2 as intakes and 2 in a pushpull setup on the radiator but I'm not sure there's room for that where it currently is. Additionally, the air from the exhaust appears to come out mostly from the side of the rear vent rather than directly out. What is up with that? What would your recommendations/advice be?
