  1. The budget was miscalculated a bit so I'm going with the more expensive Corsair H100i v2 Performance 240mm which ends up at around 2800 usd even with the more expensive cooling.
  2. Here's a picture with the CPU fans available in the store, 24k for a 240mm is massively higher than the current one, would the Noctua NH-D15 be any better?
  3. Hey guys, been a while since I've built a new rig from scratch but I´m helping a friend with a build for playing Racing Games on, mainly Forza Horizon 3, 4 and Forza Motorsport 7 My country has very high prices on parts so this is a tiny bit over 3000 usd and he would like to keep it around that. PSU = Corsair RM750x 2018 Edition Case = CM Silencio 550 Storage = Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD and Seagate 2TB SATA3 RAM = Corsair 16GB kit, (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz, Vengeance LPX MB = Giabyte Z370 HD3 GPU = Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC Black 11GB CPU = Intel Core i7-8700K 4.7GHz CPU Cooling = Corsair H55 Hydro Series Not everything is available in my country so I've had to use less desirable brands in some areas but if anyone has any concerns regarding this setup please let me know. Thanks
  4. Hey guys, I have my mouse at 800 DPI default with the Corsair Utility Engine but at startup there's always 1-1,5 mins where it doesn't change the DPI and it's stuck on a much higher setting. Is there something super simple that I'm too idiotic to notice? I would like to start my pc and have my DPI at 800 without changing the windows sensitivity. Thanks!
  5. I would get my dad some Jaybirds, he's still using several years old earbuds that are way past their time. He cycles a long distance to work and plays a lot of basketball so some good wireless earbuds would probably make him happy. http://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-Sport-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B013HSW4SM/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449130877&sr=1-1&keywords=jaybird+bluebuds+x2
  6. I appreciate you trying to help i already found out what i'm going to do. Thanks though! EDIT: I have no idea how to mark this as solved
  7. Yeah i'm thinking about not spending over 400 USD so after i sell my current mobo and cpu i'm pretty golden, Thanks for all the help really!
  8. I didn't find a Z87, only the ASUS-Z97K and it's a 167 USD here and i think that's within my budget. Is the Z97 K fine or is that overkill?
  9. I guess i'm going with the i5-4690 since i don't think i'll get into overclocking yet and i'm not really looking for a cpu that lasts 5 years, i'm going to want to upgrade to the flashy stuff as soon as i'm making real money and start fiddling with overclocking. What motherboard would be a decent fit for the 4690?
  10. I think the Xeon products are extremely overpriced and rare here. Am i not getting my moneys worth if i get the i5 4690 and don't overclock it?
  11. Would the i5-4690 be a lot worse than the 4690k? I'm not looking to doing any overclocking. You can look at prices for the main tech stores in Iceland on "vaktin.is" (prices are in Icelandic Kr) you can see the price difference there.
  12. I live in Iceland and i don't think there's any international techshop except a website some dude just started called techshop.is and he buys pc parts from other countries and sells them cheap here. But i think i can get any part from any of the local pc stores around. My budget would be around 350-400 might change depending on how much i can get for my current cpu and motherboard. The Intel equivelant of the FX 8350 price is the i5 4460 wich is about 230 USD Also one question, i have a Gigabyte motherboard and AMD cpu do all motherboards only support AMD or Intel?.
  13. I think i'll just sell my current motherboard and cpu and get an i5. What motherboard would you suggest without going overboard? Thanks
