  1. Okay I feel sort of silly, i forgot to plug in the Pump indeed. My silly mistake. Though the old pump from amazon really must have been defective cuz i'm sure that pump was plugged in. Been building pc’s for years. What a rookie mistake haha. Now it’s sitting comfy at 25c idle. Thank you guys, topic closed.
  2. Yes. Like i said, the deepcool one i've been using for years, i'm 100% sure that works.
  3. Deepcool waterblock has been used for nearly 2 years, seems very unlikely
  4. Thank you, but the paste applied is Artic cooling mx-4 which i also use at home
  5. Hi, i'm assembling a work pc and I'm having issues with my 9900k thermal throttling right from boot. In bios is slowly climbs from 30°c all the way to 90°c. I thought it might be the second hand watercooler Be Quiet 240 silent loop Amazon tried to scam me with that's defective. Today i put on my private Deepcool captain 240 ex and it's exactly the same thing. I'm 100% sure this cooler is working. I'm stumped, any idea's anyone? Spec list: i9 9900k 8gig ram (will be 16 once i get the damn thing working correctly) Gigabyte Z390 aorus pro, flashed on the latest bios Be Quiet psu 650 watt gold. Be Quiet 240 silent loop Deepcool captain 240 ex Screenshot shows 64°c while the pc was on for less than 30 seconds. Sidenote: the pc case is completely open, no body panels attached.
  6. The crazy thing is, for my work pc i just ordered a silent loop 240 from be quiet! Bought as new product, but when installing the cooler, it's obviously second handed and used. Backplate missing, no cpu paste, no cpu peel. Fans are filled with dust. What the fuck amazon?
  7. I guess we’ll never know. I dont expect them to make a big deal about this return and i already ordered another from a different webshop so..
  8. This was a new item purchase. Not second handed
  9. Thank god amazon has a good customer service cuz this is extremely weird. I knew not to force it, thanks though!
  10. What on earth is going on. It’s not from a 3rd party seller on amazon. It’s sold and shipped by amazon itself. Very very strange. Anyone knows about this sticker thing?
  11. Hi, i’m a bit stumped there is a silly sticker on my new 9700k. If this genuine? It comes straight from amazon so it would be weird if this is a fraud. Also it doesnt seem to fit in de cpu socket. Mobo is a maximus xi hero Thanks for any feedback
  12. Thank you, i hadn't considered the 1% and 0.1% lows like that. Guess that makes the case for the 9700k. I thank you for your help! My wallet sure won't!
  13. Thank you, but the price difference is still too huge. 9600k is €250. 9700k is €440 and the 8700k is €370 here. If i go i7 anyway, i have no trouble spending the additional 70€. The €120 gap between 9600k and 8700k however feels too pricy for the maybe 2% fps increase if i'm right? Thank you, that's actually very helpful. Guess i'll research what to expect there and maybe make an informed decision to wait or not. In any case, if i decide not to wait for Zen 2. What would you recommend on this pricing? 9600k or 9700k? Thanks.

CPU and GPU in a loop together with a 360 and a 240 rad. When selecting parts i noticed many components have RGB build in, but my mobo has no connectors to take advantage of this. Secondly i'm seriously wondering how long the 6700k will stay relevant. Just to be clear, this rig's purpose is now purely gaming, nothing else. So my question really is, is it worth custom cooling the 6700k in 2019. Should i upgrade my cpu (and mobo along with it) in the process, if yes which one? I honestly don't care if it's AMD or Intel. I'm torn between a 9600k and 9700k as of now. The price difference here is a hefty €190.00. I don't think i'll see that big a difference paired with a 1440p 144hz screen and a watercooled 1080ti? Food for your thoughts?
