  1. Hi there, I'm really out of the loop when it comes to bottlenecks. Both my CPU and GPU usage are both pinned at 100%, does that mean their is a bottleneck? sorry for the noob question, I'm just unsure. Do games use more cores these days? I remember they used to only use 4 but they didn't use hyperthreading. Do games use more cores now?? Thanks ty
  2. I got the RTX 2060 Super installed and it runs perfect in league! No more dips and it drops from 120 to 119 the lowest, only 1 FPS dip instead of 50 FPS dip. Works perfectly, very happy with it
  3. Not true, you can game plenty if you just get your work done before you play You dont have to do anything as a man. Dont care what societies tell you, live an enjoyable and meaningful life, whatever that means to you
  4. Why limit yourself? Youre at the time of your life when you have the most free time. Enjoy it while it lasts, as long as you do what you need to it's ok to relax and have fun. We have a limited time here, make the best of it
  5. yeah, I had to fight newegg pretty hard to get my refund. Apparently it was non-refundable, which is a scam when they sell me a non functioning gpu
  6. In league of legends the card wont go over 600 Mhz, resulting in bad performance and constant dips Its my most played game, so its more important for it to run well over a bit of extra perf in other titles just hopefully it doesnt punish me too much
  7. hi, basically the RX card is being really buggy with my games so I want to return it to get the RTX, which has way better compability with my games Am I losing that much performance? I play at 4K, im not sure if the drop is going to be significant enough to not switch ty, also worth noting that I can return it, so its not like im selling it to buy the new one
  8. Hi there, I just bought an RX 5700 XT and it's been doing ok so far. However, in league of legends the card sits at very low speeds, like <600 mhz. The game also doesnt show up under the radeon control panel. Any idea what to do? I want the card to turbo and speed up when playing, im not sure what to do
  9. hiya, I know all the reference cards are built the same but which company has the best customer support to deal with, in case the card broke? Between gigabyte, powercolor, asus, sapphire, and xfx ty
  10. weird, I guess im living under a rock then lol
  11. is getting the stock model suicide? If I put it in a smaller case is it gonna overheat/be a jet engine?
  12. Hi there, I've been kind of out of the loop. I kinda dipped before the RTX cards dropped. I'm returning to PC building and I'm trying to find which GPU to get, but what is this card? I've seen a bunch of stuff about RTX, but I never see this card mentioned. For the price it looks super good, similar to a Vega 56/64. Is it bad? Why does no one talk about it? Is it basically a rebranded vega? Is it still super hot or is it more tame? Thanks for the help, just kinda confused. Besides this it seems if I dont care about raytracing, might be worth to get a GTX 10xx card or a Vega card for 4K gaming for the value? Thanks a bunch
  13. Hi there, I was hoping to find a slim atx case that uses the full size ATX power supply. Obviously to make it slim the power supply would need to be flipped on its side. Also it needs to fit a full size gpu does such a case exist? tysm in advance
  14. You think the GPU is dying or is it driver corruption?
  15. A year or two I think, but doesnt that usually take forever
  16. Hey there, I recently bought a gaming laptop and its been going strong for the past three weeks. However, yesterday it had terrible artifacting and would crash when I launched any games. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, and it seems to have gone away. I'm worried that the issues will come back. Should I be fine, or should I return the laptop while I still have the chance? (I have a week left) I don't want to miss the return date and in two weeks have the artifacting come back Thanks!
  17. No bigger than 15.6" pls. Are there any laptops with a DGPU that have ok battery life, or will I have to go the integrated route? Preferably not too bulky either. I really dont care about anything else, I just need battery life (but a DGPU would be nice) Thanks
  18. Epic! 1050 should be fine, but dang I'm super impressed. I'm obsessed with thinkpads, and it seems they just gave it the gamer touch. I'll definitely be picking one up, thanks!!!
  19. Good idea, I love lenovo! Weird I didn't think about it. Do those support external GPUs? You just need a type c connection right?
  20. Hi there, I decided to give up my desktop to be closer to my boyfriend and to be more productive (not that you care) Anyways, I have a budget of $1000. I do mean $1000, I can't do $1100. I care about: - battery life - portability (no heavier/thicker than a macbook pro sized device) - nice build quality is a plus - gaming would be a nice bonus (I just want to be able to run CS:GO and minecraft, battery life and other factors and portability take priority) - 14-15.6" On a side note, do devices in this range support external gpu enclosures? As that would be ideal, if I could get it for this price. Thanks so much!
