  1. Hi there, I'm putting together a new rig but I would like to use my current 550W power supply. It's going to be watercooled (so a pump), an overclocked i7-9700K (nothing crazy, like 4.5 Ghz would be fine) and a non overclocked Vega VII ty for ur thoughts
  2. well I had one, it has major issues keeping its clock speeds going with league of legends which is the main game I play someone else with the card has the same issue to confirm and it's still not fixed i luv AMD, so im hoping since the VII is vega based (and my old vega was fine with LoL) that it wont have the same issue with league
  3. probably wouldnt be worth upgrading but my BF needs a new card so I have to buy something anyways
  4. I found a used one for like $500, I really like AMD so I was wondering if it's troll to buy it? Im going for custom cooling so thermals wont be an issue, but does the limited success mean that it's life expectancy is gonna be shit? Or will they keep it updated? Ty for ur thoughts
  5. hi there, I want to buy an m-atx board that can overclock a 9th gen i7. Somewhere said z370, but on amazon the boards are z390? Which one do I need? thanks for the help, I dont really care about other features that arent overlocking
  6. well what should I do if I want to upgrade? I have a short period of time where I can upgrade (dont have to pay rent this month) and I want to get something that will last a while I was thinkin the 2080 super seems like a decent pick, the 2080ti is too expensive I guess 1080ti is good but idk i want a warranty bcuz I want this card to last a long time. I was looking at some of the RTX 2080 cards that come with a waterblock
  7. heyo friends, I want to buy the cheapest 2080 super that has a waterblock available for it. Newegg/amazon/bhphotovideo are all good with me I rlly appreciate the help, ty friendos
  8. I didnt think to move the keyboard over, that could help for sure id think
  9. I use a standard keyboard for gaming, but everytime I game I feel a pain in my wrist. here is how I use my keyboard, and the area I circled is where I get the pain (on the top of my wrist) it feels like a pinch or something, it is a sudden sharp pain that goes away in a sec Is there a different keyboard or something that I could use that would alleviate the pain? its only when I game I dont really get it when typing ty for ur help
  10. because I want to? It's my hobby? don't have to question my decisions y'know, I'm just asking for advice
  11. Hi there, I have a i5-9400F and a RTX 2060 super. I am watercooling the 2060 so I dont really want to swap it out All my games run really well, but the only one that doesnt is Apex Legends. Would this game benefit from a better CPU? (I play it at 4K, if that makes a difference) Would it be worth grabbing an i7 or is it worth to grab the i9? Thank u friends
  12. yeah, I cant figure it out either. I guess I'll just chill with the 2060 super. Thank you for your help!
  13. It kinda looks like the same cooler is just moved over a bit? so maybe the same cooler will fit?
  14. I just realized I might be able to upgrade to the 2070 ventus, but I dont know if the block will fit? The 2070 Ventus (which the block is made for) has a single 8 pin, but the 2070 Super ventus has an additional PCIE power connector I've been trying to find a PCB layout or something, do you think the vrm and stuff spacing will be the same, and just the card is a bit longer for the PCIE power connector? ty for your thoughts edit: I just checked, the super ventus is 30mm longer, so maybe it's just extended?
  15. I looked at a tear down but I couldnt find him say what screw driver it was idk I just love watercooling and I happen to have a 2060 super, so i'm just doing a loop with it. I wish it was a 2070 super but rent is oof
  16. hi there, I remember a while ago I was tearing down another older nvidia GPU to install a water block, but I needed a specific kind of screwdriver for the screws. Is that the case for the 2060 super? Is it on amazon? Or is it all philip heads? thank yall
  17. Hi there, I'm trying to find a waterblock for this card but it's been pretty difficult. It seems there is no 2060 blocks, but people say the 2070 block will fit the 2060 super (?) However, someone told me the MSI Ventus PCB isn't the same as the founders? I thought it would be because it's a cheap, baseline 2060 super so idk why the pcb would be different So basically I'm just asking does the 2060 super ventus have a standard PCB, and then does that mean a 2070 block will fit? Thanks
  18. ye I get above 60 FPS in all the games I play which is nice, apex is the only game i have to turn down the settings a bit
  19. Actually I looked at it again and it was spiking between 60 and 70, so I guess its fine
  20. I used MSI afterburner, and 2x8GB I didnt have anything in the background
  21. yes, 100%. I have to turn everything to low and all the aa and stuff off, then i get like 80 fps i think, it dips a bit
  22. I might be able to sell it for an ok price, I do have the box and everything
  23. I'm playing 4K, i know that means the cpu isnt as important right? I just want more frames in apex legends lol if im being honest is it worth tryin to get an rtx 2080?
  24. is it worth getting an i7 or i9 from an i5? It's probably just better to upgrade the GPU right
