  1. Title says it all, just wondering which smart watch Linus has been wearing in all the recent video. Thanks in advance.
  2. Gotcha. Yeah, I was just confused by the shortening of the words completely understand it now.
  3. Ummm......English please? Lol, not sure what you mean.
  4. Tried limiting in Crimson, didn't work, I'll just stick to using RivaTuner.
  5. Holy crappers. Thank you! Everything works like candy now. <3 Forcing V-Sync off worked and I re-capped using RivaTuner. Thank you much again!! Now, do I keep it at or around the 60fps? or can I cap it at the 144? I will have to play with it some I think
  6. Correct, but as originally stated, no matter the settings on fo4 no change, other than a slight gain by turning off freesync.
  7. FO4 never maxed my gpu or cpu. Other games seem fine, running anywhere from 50 to 80 fps. Thanks for the link, I will post there and see what comes of it.
  8. I will look into the dynamic shadow mod, thanks for that tip. Still doesn't make sense as to why it refuses to go above 18fps with freesync turned on. I'll figure it out with enough tinkering, but was hoping someone has had the issue and a fix already
  9. Hell all, I have just upgraded my monitor from 1080p to 1440p and I am in love!! I have ran into some issues though. Performance in my mind has taken a huge hit in some area's (I expected this due to the higher resolution). Heaven benchmark went from 102fps average to 55fps average on the same settings, but with 2560x1440 as the resolution (didn't matter with freesync on or off). That makes sense to me. What doesn't make sense is that Fallout 4 refuses to run over 18fps with freesync enabled (doesn't matter what quality settings I use) and won't run past 35fps with freesync off. If I run Fallout4 at 1920x1080, it screams at 144fps no problem on my new monitor. No other real issues in other games that I play like D3, Tomb Raider, and other older titles that don't push my system. System specs: i7 6700k (stock speeds) MSI 390x Gaming (stock speeds) Asus z170 Pro Gaming Corsair HX850i PSU 16GB G.Skill 2133 Asus MG279Q 27" monitor Windows 10 pro Crimson 15.30.1025.1001 (current) video drivers. Is there something I am missing or is Fallout just being THAT picky with my new settings? Maybe remove my drivers and install again? I am using the mini-DP to DP cable that came with the monitor, could that be the issue? I need some help here, I figured the 390x would be able to push 2k video a little better than what I am experiencing. Thank you in advance for looking!
  10. Hi all, I was able to sell my old rig and have about 800 to 900 to spend for a new CPU, Motherboard and GPU, and possibly Ram if it's a skylake build. Right now this is my monitor and I will not be changing it out until it dies. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236153 A few things I would like, but not needed: Optical Output and a black / red themed motherboard. I have 16gb of 1600 G.Skill Ripjaw memory, 850w Corsair PSU, and a H110i GTX for the cooler. I know there isn't any way to "future" proof something, but would like to make this last 3+ years for now with the option to go to a better monitor if my current one bites the dust. Thanks!
  11. Alright, thank you for the suggestions! I have enough parts around to get my current cpu, mobo and gpu put together with different components apart from my current machine. If I can sell that for some cash, add my current budget of 400, would this be a good combo? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NrCtYJ
  12. Hi all, Currently I have a AMD 8320 (oc to 4.3), Asus M5A99FX Pro 2.0 and MSI 270x 4gb gpu. Should I consider a new gpu to get better performance out of newer games or do a i5 / mobo combo and keep the 270x? Budget is $400USD. This pc would have to last for another 2 to 3 years. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the reply Captain_WD! My wife and I were looking at the Ex4100 last night and I think I might be purchasing that one in the near future. Thank you for the suggestions! Ciao
  14. I don't have anything yet. I was thinking towards standard Reds.
  15. Hey all! I need some help. I am currently running a 3tb and 4tb external HDD through my Asus RT-N66U and am running out of space fast. I would like to either buy a pre-made NAS or build one, but not sure which path to take. I am looking to run 4x4tb in Raid 5 for 12tb storage and 4tb redundancy. Or I'll take any other suggestions to increase my current use of the RT-N66U to save money now. I have about 1200 to use, so thinking either a QNap, Synology or WD Nas system. Thanks!
