  1. Ran through a few tests. Since i cannot boot the pc i had to attach a speaker to find the audible codes and received a system timer failure code. Looks like ill be sending in a rma for a new board oy vey.
  2. I was working on troubleshooting my corsair icue 150i lcd cooler, got all of the drivers updated days ago but still wasnt getting my lcd screen to display anything beyond a caution symbol. I saw on youtube that some users jiggled the power supply on the corsair icue fan controller box, and when i did i noticed that the plug had worked its way slightly loose. Moments later i hear my cooler fans ramp up to high speed and about 10 seconds later my monitors stop displaying. The fans continue to spin at high speed until i manually turned off the system maybe 20 seconds later. I then turned the system back on after making sure the fan control box plug is tight. My pc now turns on, fans, led's n all for about 15 seconds but is no longer displaying visual on my monitors, and the whole system auto shuts down. I have completely disconnected my power supply for over 15 minutes and am getting the same results. Can anyone throw some ideas my way please? Im currently using the following: Corsair icue h150i elite lcd display liquid cp cooler Amd ryzen 9 7950x 16 core 4.5 ghz socket am5 processor Asus rog strix x670e-e motherboard X2 Samsung 980 pro 2tb m.2 ssd Gskill trident z5 neo rgb series amd expo 32gb ddr5 6000 (pc5 48000) memory Corsair rmx series rm1000x 1000 watt 80 gold plus power supply. Thanks in advance for all help.
  3. I replaced the CPU cooler just under 4 years ago. (August 2nd, 2018)
  4. I could understand that if it died no matter what i was doing. It however has only turned off during gaming sessions. Which leads me to think its a software issue. I do appreciate the ideas though.
  5. Just ran through a round of Overwatch. Temps seem fine, ranging from 37 C to 43 C with stuff running in the background.
  6. A little higher than normal. Averaging at 43 degrees Celsius while idle. I didnt think much of it as it wasnt much of a change from normal, but ill do a under load test now and see what its like during gaming.
  7. Here are my components. I also edited the original post to show this as well. 8. About a week ago when i was play testing a new Gundam game on steam when my PC powered off during play testing. At first i thought this was due to my drivers being out of date, so i went ahead and updated all of them. I didnt have anymore problems for several days, and now all of a sudden during my last 2 online games of overwatch my PC has powered off 75% of the way through the match. Im still running on windows 10, and even though my computer is dated now (made in 2014 with most components manufactured in 2012), i havent had an issue such as this until the last week. The dust has also been cleaned out of my case as of last week. I already intend to replace this computer, but it needs to last another 5ish months until the new 4000 series GPU's release. Im hoping to replace my setup in october as my own birthday present. How can i go about fixing the problem with my PC powering off without any warning during gaming? Could this be a potential power supply problem? My battery backup also recently went bad (purchased in 2015), so could this be due to inconsistent power delivery during heavy use? Could this be caused by an outdated Bios? My PC components: Power supply: Rosewill Bronze series 1000 watt active PFC power supply Memory: Hyper X Fury 16GB (2x8GB) 240 pin DDR3 SDRAM CPU: AMD FX(tm) 8350 Eight Core Processor 4 GHz Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB 950 SATA 6BS/s GPU: ASUS ROG GeForce Strix 1070 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H115i Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler 280mm CW-9060027-WW Thank you everyone in advance for any help.
  9. thanks for the awesome recommendation, i ended up ordering the 120 and 140mm be quiet fans, and just installed them, The temps are looking great in comparison to the screen shot at the beginning of this thread.
  10. after looking around a bit, id probably max out a $50 for all the fans combined that i would want to purchase, i still want to see your recommendations even if they go beyond this limit. I looked up one of Linus's video's on Corsair fans, and like what i have seen so far, atm im looking at the following. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181056 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181049 feel free to keep the recommendations coming and to comment on the links to the fans above.
  11. At the moment im not concerned with the price, i want to know whats out there that works the best since i only just started to understand PC fan specs this morning, ive noticed that most seem to range around $10-$30
  12. Im still relatively new to building PC's but made my own 6 months ago. Last night i downloaded and tried a new game "Warhammer 40k Dark Nexus Arena" which is still in its beta stages, and got a massive heat spike on my graphics card. (about 65-69 degrees celsius while on the games title screen only. I contacted the developers about this) The below image is what my PC usually runs when not gaming. After that i decided i wanted to upgrade and add on a few more fans to my case. Currently i have the following CPU fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125494 Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182188 Tower Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147184 At the moment i have only replaced the stock CPU fan with the "Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO" fan. everything else in my case is stock (3 of the 120mm case fans, 1 on the rear, 1 at the top, and 1 on the front) In total my case always has 8 fans running, and i think my heat dispersal is just to inefficient to deal with the amount of heat i get sometimes (1 power supply fan, 3 case fans, 1 CPU fan, 3 built in graphics card fans). So im looking for any recommendations on some of the best quiet and efficient fans meant for a Gaming PC. i will mainly be looking to replace 3 of the 120mm fans and add on a 140mm fan (i do not currently have a 140mm fan, nor any fan mounted on the side of the case). Any and all recommendations are appreciated, also it would be nice if these fans were blue LED fans, but thats not a mandatory thing for me. Thanks in advance for all the help. Also links are also greatly appreciated.
