Building a budget end computer for my old man, got to run some basic programs and maybe a few programs with a heavyish load for his work. He's still using a gateway 2000, not joking... google it... Anyways my budget is 280 and I have a screen, K&M. I need a parts list. This isn't my first rodeo, I already built my own custom PC. But I needed some advice. Yeah i already do something like this, Open hardware monitor is a good program I use. When gaming I use it to set my GPU fan speed all the way up too 100% but when i started gaming, even though the GPU was around 56c I came into the same problem, the, monitor turned off but the game was still running in the background because I can hear my character in eso still move around

Now, I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem but while gaming, after a while, my monitor would just stop working. It would say "No display input" as if someone just came along and unplugged the HDMI cord. But when I check it's firmly in there. I hit the restart button on my case and after the restart my monitor turns back on, it's very frustrating and this is always happening. I never had this problem at the beginning of when I built but now its just a recurrent issue. If anyone has any suggestions or help please I need some, I'm desperate.

So today I got my leg stuck around my 7 foot headphone wire, and violently pulled on it by accident. Luckily my headphones were fine but my audio input jack on my computer got totally raped and now it's broken. I looked online and apparently I gotta get a "audio jack to USB adapter" or something, I'm trying to look for one that at the moment and i need help deciding which one i should get because i'm too afraid it might mess up the sound quality of my headphones if i get a bad one or not, or maybe is doesn't even matter i'm not quite sure. Im pretty sure the r9 380 if better because it have double the video buffer, plus the cpu is clocked at 4.2 by default if i get a better cpu cooler and overclock the shit outa this thing im pretty sure it will perform the same as that set up
