I prefer to use HDD because i don't mind the slow load times and the low cost of HDDs allows me to get a device with better specs, in the current case i was able to get gtx1650 laptop instead of laptop with integrated GPU and SSD. I've replaced a lot of Segate Drives in the past (arround 4 in the past 5 years) every single one of the failed within 1-2 years. I've never had such issues with WD Blue drives(my old drive is still going strong after 3 years of tough usage). Can you explain how to interpret the data that i posted above ? Thanks in Advance!

sorry for the late reply, i was concerned because the previous drive was also segate but it never made a sound and then crashed out of the blue.

I just claimed warranty and replaced my laptop's HDD as the previous one stopped working. Now my laptop has the new HDD but it has started to make sounds sometimes like a couple of clicking sounds and then it stops. I've not noticed any hit in performance and file transfers happen as expected but when ever my laptop's HDD makes clicking noises it gives me anxiety. I've also run crystal disk info but i don't know how to interpret the results. This is what i got after running it. can someone interpret it for me ?

i don't know how to put it but, i need more ram for my work stuff and I'm stuck with a single slot and a free slot, currently I'm running dual channel 8GB0. 8 Gigs is enough for my gaming needs but for my work programs I need 16Gigs, my problem is 1) if i go for 4+ 16 ram, games would lag like hell and i dont know if it will cause low performance when im running my work programs 2) if i stay with 4+4 ram, i dont have enough ram to compile stuff. 3) i don't have enough money to buy a good laptop. will I be able to do stuff other than gaming in 4+16 without the performance issue? ( I'm willing to give up gaming if I can get my work done on 4 + 16 configuration ) when I'm gaming i barely cross 6gigis, but when I'm working I'm almost at 95% ram usage and my laptop starts to lag. when try to compile an android rom it fails because of low memory. i'm sorry this is so confusing to explain.

I have a laptop with a soldered ram and the other is regular ddr4 slot 2400mhz, I was a hardcore gamer in the past but now i play csgo and genshin impact, if i get time. I use my laptop for Rstudio, SPSS, MS-Office, 100s of chrome tabs and android app development & custom rom development as a hobby, I haven't noticed any reason to upgrade my laptop when I'm gaming but, when i try to use chrome, MS-Excel and RStudio i constantly run out of ram. I'm satisfied with the cpu ang gpu. but I need a ram upgrade, because of my ram configuration I'm unable to make a decision on upgrading ram. i was thinking i could switch between 4GB x 2 for gaming and 4GB + 16GB for other workflow, I play about 5 to 6 csgo matches and 3 hours of genshin impact a week, I don't mind a little dip in performance. TLDR; 1) will single channel affect performance when I'm compiling programs, running MS-excel and RStudio ? 2) will single channel affect performance in csgo ? My laptop has : i5 8250u Nvidia 940MX 4GB soldered and 4GB in a slot, DDR4 2400mhz ? Is it a good idea to switch between ram configurations based on use cases, instead of buying a new laptop ?

So im still using a n300 router. I'm thinking of upgrading as the wifi router seems unreliable. There are connection speed drops and general instability, if the router heats up then the wifi is shit. I'm unable to choose between the two. Which one should I go. I want stability My internet connection is fiber-optic 50Mbps. I need rang for 3bhk house. Some time the wifi signals have to pass through 2 or 3 wall (cement and brick walls) .I'm on a budget. I just want to make sure that I'm choosing right

my laptop ( Acer Aspire A515-51G-53RP) does not charge when the laptop is in use, lets assume i'm surfing the web and the battery is low so i connect the charger, it works fine for a second or two, after that the Power and Battrey led keeps blinking even though the charger is connected the laptop's battrey drains and one more thing, when the laptop was new the charger used to get very hot , but now the charger gets warm but no where near the temperatures it used to reach. my laptop's battrey is giving me good backup.(no issues with screen on time and stand by time). i want to know if the problem is with the laptop or with the charger. i have attache a video clip showing the problem.
