It would work but if you are patient and save up you should go for a i5 5690k and atleast a r9 280/gtx 960. To be fair no games are going to run well with the gtx 750ti, you might get like 30 fps on medium settings, and max settings aren't really an option. But if you aren't patient go ahead. (gaming pc's are too much )

Sorry for being a noob with pcs

My brother gave me his old PC a while back which he bought from another guy online. The CPU is an intel i7 with I think 4 cores, although on CPU-z and system properties there is no model number, it just says Intel i7 @2.67ghz. I removed the cooler and there is no model number or at least not anymore, copper is exposed. How do I work out what CPU this is? Very faintly at the bottom of the chip I see a number: e44476 61 101. This is all that I can go off considering this was from my old PC which is now broken although the CPU is still in shape. Note that this CPU is not compatible with my new PC (msi gaming 970). Any ideas what CPU this is/was? Is there such thing as a unmarked i7?

Currently i play a whole lot of CSGO with a 60hz monitor. This has been fine for a while but now i am within the top 3 mm ranks (EU), I think maybe it's time to upgrade. I am looking to buy a 144 hz monitor for csgo. Which one is best for the money and what should i avoid? Here are some examples however when it comes to monitors i don't know what i am doing . Or should i just wait until i have enough for a 240hz monitor? The 32gb was from my brothers pc, i was not gonna pay like $220 for ram Although i understand what you are saying and in future i may switch to intel (obviously changing motherboard etc.) But for now i will see how it goes. i7 4770k? i5 4690k? (i think they are the ones off the top of my head, correct me if i am wrong)

Well in theory my budget is fairly high regarding a new cpu, to be honest as long as i don't top $400 then it's not too much of an issue.

I am new to this community! I am here today for some help and advice, not really to show off . I have recently ordered this build. I am wondering if i will experience any issues with particular parts (mostly the cpu, so called bottlenecking ) and I am wondering what i should look to do in the future in-order to improve the build. GPU: Asus R9 290 - Direct Cu II OC 4gb Motherboard: Msi 970 Gaming Memory: 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram (little bit over-kill i know.) I am not looking to game at 4k or anything however i am just wondering if i will experience performance issues on 1080p/1440p on games like GTA V, CSGO, Arma 3 + 2.
