  1. Is this the only way? Or is there a different process? Or am I out of luck.
  2. ^ (ramble coming:) So, I've been planning a new build and the OS solution pushes it a bit far. I've been looking around my house and have found two windows 7 installers with the keys intact. (as well as an office installer with the key intact). But the problem is, I don't know whether they've been activated or not. Is there a way of checking?
  3. Okay... I'll do that then, I guess...
  4. I just prefer it looking the same imho.
  5. The first Asus 60hz would be an upgrade from the current monitor I'm currently using. Still a bit iffy about the 144hz monitors mainly because of price. I want to use two of the same brand and model monitor because my friend uses two different monitors and they look plain weird together. It's either 2 75hz monitors, 2 60hz monitors, or 2 144hz monitors with decreased performance and changes around the system to work with price
  6. My current laptop display is 15.6" and my secondary 900p monitor is 19.5". I need two [insert refresh time here] monitors because I multi task. (Mainly for Twitch). And 60HZ isn't that bad...
  7. - Geometry Dash - Minecraft - Blockade 3D - TF2 - Startin Dota2 - Terraria - Unturned - Thinking about getting GTA v - Undertale
  8. I'm confused. Not sure why 21.5" is amusing. Anyway, I was previously getting this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vx228h I currently have a 900p 19.5" monitor. I took this AOC because of the 1ms response time and I need two monitors for dual screen multi tasking. Two 144hz monitors pushes way past my budget and would require me to downgrade something in the system. (Also I'm worried if a single 970 will even push 144fps...)
  9. This look good? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-g2260vwq6
  10. But 980 is if you can't afford the r9 fury/980ti.
  11. 4790k @ stock with an evga 970?
  12. Okay. So I know that 144hz is a must for pro CS:GO players, but just in general, should I consider 144hz? If you come from CS:GO or you just happen to have a 144hz monitor, can you try your best to describe the difference between 60 and 144hz?
  13. Well, guess I didn't look at it that way So, even two separate evo 850's with 250gb of size would last me 50 odd years. (Best case scenario) That's way more time than I need. In fact, I should be replacing in about three to four years Thanks for the help. I think I'll go with one evo 850 500gb variant as it will last way longer than it's usefulness. Thanks for the help :3 - Asriel.
  14. Hello there, again ;D I've found that I'll go with the two ssd for a reason: The evo 850 500/1tb has a tbw of 150 before it enters the read-only mode. The 120/250gb versions only offering 75tbw. The 850 pro 128/256gb variants, however, has a tbw of 150; the 500/1tb having 300tbw. My idea would be to take one 256gb pro and one 250gb evo. The evo would hold the os/games/frequently used programs. (little writing, mainly reading. The 850 pro (with the 150tbw life span) would be purely for writing videos to. Instead of having 500gb with 150tbw life for frequent files and videos, I've cut it into two halves, still leaving 150tbw for videos, and 75tbw for frequent files as they don't need to write often. Write back if you find a better solution that would benefit me - Asriel.
  15. I don't plan to use RAID. In fact, I don't want it. That's why I made to post ;3;
  16. Okay; That's a weird question... If I have two SSD's on the system, do they run independently? Or do the automatically 'fuse' to run RAID 0. Because, if I'm correct, don't you need a RAID controller? If they run independently, are they any more safer than one SSD? Is safety compromised?
  17. I'm relatively sure it's not death coming for my drive. If I'm correct, is this coming from my fan? If so, how do I fix it? It's unbelievably annoying... and worrying...
  18. Hai Captain_WD. I will be writing and converting videos to the ssd drive daily. This SSD will also hold my commonly used games and my OS. I'm not looking into 2 ssd's to use a raid array. I want them running independently; one for writing videos, one for the os/games. I'm worried about one SSD as I've heard that writing constantly to an ssd can kill it quite easily. - Asriel.
  19. Which would be better overall? I'll be writing to both/one of these everyday (1-4gb). (There's also a 2TB Black for bulk storage)
