Should I buy a 1440p monitor?

Strategy,sandbox, sports and games like the binding of isaac. Sometimes I play fps games but casual.

I want to buy a new monitor. I don't play much competetive games mostly singeplayer games. I have a gtx 970 and I have a budget of 450usd.

Is 5.5 inch to big for a phone or is it good?
