  1. Afterburnner and on a side note on games like resident evil 7 it runs at 99% utilization at 80 degrees while in games like gta 5, black ops 3, overwatch temps are lower and low usage.
  2. Yes, I know that raising the res scale will force my gpu usage to go up since it has to do so to push all them pixels but, I have a 144 hz screen and im trying to push for that frame rate not a higher resolution. As shown in the screenshot, i'm only reaching 100 fps on any res other than extremely high ones like 4k where I dip to 60. So my question is is my cpu bottlenecking my gpu if and if not what do you guys think is?
  3. Slightly unrelated to OP but for me I have tested my i7 6700 with a GTX 1080 and I have the same issue in games like GTA 5, Overwatch, COD BO3, etc.
  4. I have a GTX 1080 with a i7 6700 and I have the same issue with multiple games so far I don't have a solution.
  5. Hey guys, so for me this problem is still existent. In some games both my cpu and gpu have low usage. I linked below a screenshot of what I see. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/199049224661237760/280596055597252608/unknown.png
  6. ya and i forgot to emphysize this is the non- k version so isnt base clock 3.4
  7. Hey guys so i got a new pc with a i7 6700 and I just want to know if the clock speeds I'm getting are normal for the chip. So if you have a 6700 share your clock speeds and the cooler you are using. IDLE: 3.88 GHz Normal load: 3.74 GHz Heavy load: 3.61 GHz Min Speed: 3.57 GHz
  8. That's not the problem, the problem is GPU usage dips to 70% (when this happens temps go down and clock speeds increases )
  9. CPU temps is always below 65C based on afterburner ingame
  10. Ya o i forget to mention that yes the GPU does clock it self down to the it's 1607 MHZ base clock when temp goes up.
  11. Ok another thing if any of you guys know (more so if you own a i7 6700), the clock speed of my 6700 constantly falls to 3.57 ghz is that the norm for this chip when running at around 65% with 4 cores utilized. (I know i should post this under CPU forum)
  12. Specs: This is a pre-built Asus G11CD got it because it was selling for $1100 CPU: i7 6700 GPU: GTX 1080 RAM: 16 GB DDR4 2133 MHZ PSU: 500W 512 GB SSD 2 TB HDD Monitor: 1920 x 1080 144HZ So basically whenever I play games the GPU never stays at 90-100% usage and in some games, such as Overwatch (epic preset 100% res scale) it drops to 70% (FPS varies from 120 to 210 in game). As for my CPU it hovers around 64% when playing Overwatch with none of my cores being maxed out (some are close tho). Temps are fine with the GPU at 82C and CPU at 65C. So my question is what is bottlenecking my GPU, only things I can think of is the CPU or the PSU, want your guys' opinion. (As a side note, I tested the Division (ultra preset) using in game benchmark and avg GPU was 95% while avg CPU was 65% which resulted of an avg fps of 90)
  13. also want to mention that it seems like the problem is only on my pc
  14. Its a wired connection and i recently updated my network drivers after i found this problem
