  1. Hi, I was wondering the best way to dampen the sound waves that come into my gaming room and waves that go out. Let me explain my situation: I live in a multi room house and the walls are pretty thin. My gaming desk/speakers are right up against the wall and on the other is a gigantic 60in tv with massive speakers. My dad likes the tv loud so I always here the tv and I always like to blast my music so he hears it which he doesn't want to. Is there any material/product I can buy to put on the wall that will dampen the sound waves coming from the tv and dampen sound waves from my speakers going out of the room. I did a little research and I found something called mlv (mass loaded vinyl). Is this my best bet or is there something else that I can use. I don't know if this is an issue but my budget for this is around $250USD. Also any links would be appreciated and sorry if there are any typing issues as I am on an iPhone
  2. Hey, I plan on using gsync using a 780ti 3gb GDDR5 w/ ACX cooler. My question is what is the best budget friendly gsync monitor? My budget is $550 the max which I know there are four monitors in that price range. Acer XB240H 24" G-Sync-$379 AOC G2460PG 24" G-Sync-$399 Acer Predator XB270HA 27" G-Sync-$488 BenQ XL2420G 24" G-Sync-$549 I know spending this much money will only allow me to hve a one monitor set up or should I stick with a two monitor set up for a cheaper cost? (IPS and a BenQ Monitor for around 350ish$)
  3. So once I use a dp connection I can use gsync?
  4. Hey, I am interesting in buying a 780ti from EVGA w/ ACX Cooler 3gb GDDR5 from Amazon for around $360-80ish dollars? My question is does it support it gysnc because on geforce's website it says it does but looking at this same model on online retailers no one list it as gsync compatible? If its not gsync compatible should I get the gtx 970 which is around the same price point? Also I plan on buying this used, no way I could afford new. Thanks
  5. Hey, Im planning on getting the Asus VG248QE which natively runs at 144hz. I plan on hooking it up to a gtx 960 strix from Asus via a dp cable but my question is will be 960 be able to put out 144hz or is there someway I can get the monitor to match what my gpu is pushing out? (like vsync)
  6. Hey, I can't decide between these two motherboards, any advice will be appreciated: Saberooth Z87 TUF series from Asus and the Z97-G45 from MSI
  7. so vsync is fine or should i try adaptive vsync and just keep my oringinal plan for two monitors(one ips, the other for gaming)
  8. I just read that vsync can cause stuttering and lag at lower fps then your monitors native refresh rate
  9. Hey, Currently Im planning on getting an Asus VS239H-P 23in IPS Panel for monitor 1 and for monitor 2 a BENQ Gaming Monitor RL2455HM 24in. (There both 1080p and 60hz) However I am willing to trade 2 monitors for 1 gsync monitor but I dont want to spend more than $400 for any monitor setup. Im currently looking ACER XB240H Abpr 24in Gsync at 1080p but Ive heard its the worst of the gsync compatible monitors. Is there any way I could avoid Screen Tearing without using Vsync (bad) or Gsync (expensive) using a NVidia card? I plan on buying a gtx 960 or 970.
  10. Can I buy the Asus VG248QE with g-sync pre-installed anywhere in the US online? If not whats a store in the New York City Area?
  11. Im planning on getting a BenQ Gaming Monitor RL2455HM LED running at 1920 x 1080p res. It has D-sub/ DVI-DL(Dual Link)/ HDMI x 2/ Headphone Jack/ Line in and 1ms GtG response time.
  12. Can HDMI 1.4 run at 60hz? If it cant can you provide a good company that sells hdmi 2.0? Also can a dp to hdmi 1.4 can still run at 60hz?
