  1. won't i lag if i switch games though? or will it just display 60 hertz instead of 144?
  2. Yeah, I dont even care about 144 hertz for other games really. I only care about having it for CS. I might just have to switch to my other monitor (60 hertz asus monitor) when I want to play other games...which is very uncommon.
  3. Here are my full specs: GPU : EVGA GeForce GTX 960 (Superclocked, 4GB) CPU : Intel Core i5 4690k Quad-Core Processor (3.5 Ghz) Mobo : Asus Z97-A Motherboard Ram : Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) HDD : 1TB Western Digital Blue 7200 RPM SSD: 240 Gig Intel SSD Case : NZXT S340 Black OS : Windows 10 Here is the monitor I am buying: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014376 Can my PC run this monitor? Generally, I will be (mostly) playing CS:GO with low quality graphics and 4:3 stretched. I want to know if my graphics card is able to run this monitor at 144 hertz and if I can easily play csgo on it? How about other games? Inform me please. Thanks!
  4. It worked yesterday bro. Read the whole description. I was able to play CSGO last night just fine. its not the cpu.
  5. I'll try reconnecting everything again. also in case it matters, I already replaced the psu so its definitely not that xD. any other advice would be very appreciated! I just need people to spit out ideas so i can go try them out after and see if it works!
  6. why wouldn't it be? I probably would not be able to close the cpu with the bracket or even mount my water block on it if it was not seated properly...I took it out the other day and I am almost positive it is seated correctly.
  7. so even if my pcs been working all this time, there's a chance that it can (now) be corrupt? Also I had 1 other question just out of curiosity: if u ever get screwed with malware, could someone possibly screw up ur drives? (did not happen to me but j.w.) and no bios speaker bro.
  8. but what's the point? It will probably end up doing the same thing again where it will work for a day and then act all stupid again. I need to find out if that is actually the problem or if its an electrical issue or a motherboard issue, ya know?
  9. Title says it. PC's been acting weird lately. It all started when I randomly got home one day and it would not display anything. When I turn my pc on, the lights turn on and the fans move, but no image on my monitors. The only thing I see is a red CPU LED turn on. AND BEFORE ANYONE ASKS: yes I cleared the cmos several times, I changed the cmos battery with a new one, I tried putting in only 1 stick of ram and switching them around, I tried a different HDMI cable, I also switched my HDMI cable to onboard graphics and there's still no display when I turn on my pc, I also tried taking out my graphics card and putting it back in, etc etc. HOWEVER THERE IS HOPE: yesterday night I disconnected my cables that go to my SSD and HDD and I reconnected them and then when I turned on my pc, it WORKED. I saw like several red LED lights turn on for a few seconds, and then they went away after a few seconds and the PC booted up like normal. So it's def not graphics card related. BUT, today when I turned on my PC it did the same crap again where it would all turn on, but no display.
  10. just bought a new power supply and hooked it up. the display still isnt showing. even with onboard. all i see is the same exact thing and the CPU led is still red.
  11. dont have one. my pc is already built. my psu just isnt working anymore apparently. it powers everything in the pc but for some reason its screwing up for powering the graphics
  12. can someone please tell me which power supply to get then? everyone told me CX sucks and that EVGA is better. and now everyone here is telling me EVGA sucks. I just wanted to get the 600 watt i mentioned from best buy just to bring home and see if the psu is really the problem. if it is, i might return the 600 watt and buy a better one online. at this point, i just wanna see if the psu is actually the problem.
  13. uh, did u even read the post? the CX is bad quality and is currently broken...and save for what? I thought EVGA is supposed to be better than the CX series??
  14. my power supply just broke and I need a new one. The one I currently have is having electrical problems and there's no display when I use my graphics card or onboard graphics. The only PSU I can get right now is this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/evga-80-plus-600w-atx-12v-eps-12v-power-supply-black/8511029.p?id=1219693073473 Please tell me that the one I am choosing is GOOD and a trusted brand. The old CX 750 Watt one I used to have was apparently not "good quality" ALSO PLEASE TELL ME IF THE PSU I AM CHOOSING IS ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING SPECS: SPECS: GPU : EVGA GeForce GTX 960 (Superclocked, 4GB) CPU : Intel Core i5 4690k Quad-Core Processor (3.5 Ghz) Mobo : Asus Z97-A Motherboard Ram : Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) HDD : 1TB Western Digital Blue 7200 RPM SSD: 240 Gig Intel SSD Case : NZXT S340 Black OS : Windows 10 Monitor : Asus VX228H 21.5" Monitor (x2) Keyboard : Corsair K65 RGB Mechanical Keyboard Mouse : Corsair M65 RGB Mouse
  15. yes i completely removed the gpu when switching to onboard graphics. nothing.
  16. ohhhhhh!!!! makes sense now . if its a bad psu is there a possibility that it may have screwed up my cpu or motherboard?
  17. also can someone please tell me how the power supply i have would screw up the graphics card display and the onboard graphics of my motherboard? also PLEASE tell me my cpu is still okay after this?
  18. really!? wait, what? hangs the cpu? and it didnt make my pc shut down and/or reboot. i just shut it down myself one day and the next day i didnt have an image on my screen.
  19. can i get one at the store easily? and ur talking about the lithium bios battery, correct?
