  1. From all the articles I have seen and all the reviews I have seen, the msi gaming 6g is better then the evga sc, but the gigabyte g1, asus 980 tis trix and even evga classified beat the msi card in temps, and clock speeds and performance
  2. But the evga sc, is not a custom pcb to the best of my knowledge, and I don't know if the 8pin and 6pin power delivery system is going to allow me to overclock it to say the level of the g1 gaming that has a custom pcb and 2 8pin connectors
  3. So Im buying a 980 ti soon, like tomorrow soon and I have been researching like crazy which brand has the best cards, best pcb desing, if custom pcb even matters and so on. My top 3 cards that are withing my current budget are, the Evga gtx 980 ti sc (with that sexy back plate) Gigabyte gtx 980 ti g1 gaming Asus gtx 980 ti strix I've been leaning more for the g1 gaming, but the asus is supposed to be better built but evga has thee best costumer service of the 3. And I an to watercool them. So so far only the evga and the asus cards have ek water blocks and the g1 gaming g is "coming soon" but no dates have been disclosed. The card is for gaming on demanding games, my rig has a i7 4790k on an asus z97 maximus vii formula being powered by an evga supernova p2 1000w
  4. Ufff, thanks man. I haven't been following the strix closely mostly because I do t like the way it looks, but I have looked up its specs and the things asus claims that make it special, lime the fact that the card is mostly produced without human intervention for the most part. But thanks, I figure since ek already has a full cover waterblock for this card unlike the gigabyte 980 to g1, I rather get the asus and water cool it to get rid of the ugly heatsink.
  5. Don't take my word for it, I have just heard things like that on youtube, and also in a few reddit threads an other sites, and I also noticed that in newegg the card was avaliable and than it wasn't, but it didn't say out of stock but rather pre-order and gave a date for release. I might be wrong very wrong, but I've heard that using heatsinks that don't fit perfectly is not a new thing for asus, they've done it at least once before
  6. So I heard a rumor that the asus gtx 980 ti strix got recalled due to problems including the heatsink not being adecuate for the 980 tI, bu rather asus was simply re-using r9 heatsinks and as a result of that the 980 ti was giving bad temperatures as well as other glitches? And if so, does anyone know if the 980 ti strix that are re-launching tomorrow on newegg are a revised version or the same? I ask this because I wanted to buy a 980 ti g1 gaming from gigabyte but the asus in cheaper and has higher clock speeds from the get go. Thanks guys
  7. My dilema, yes dilema, I know... to choose or not to choose between the xspc raystorm the regular one not the one completely made of copper or the swiftech apogee xl. And no don't like the apogee hl
  8. Ok so my rig is the following i7-4790k (stock) Xfx r9 270x asus z97 ar lepa maxbron 1000w bronze hyperx 8gb 1600 ddr3 rqm 120gb ssd, 1tb hdd cooling is not the reason for crash. I think the psu could be couse regardless of it being the cause I'm upgrading to a evga supernova p2 in the upcoming 2 weeks. the issue is that the computer just freezes and the image goes white with a lot of pixels and sound freezes as well after about 2 to 3 hours of constant use, regardless of it being use for gaming or a movie. Currently the gpu is connected to a single cable from the psu that has two 6-8 pin connectors. I was also wondering if that could cause my problem and if I should connect two separate cables to the gpu even if the psu only comes with modular cables that have 2 6-8 pin conector in them.
  9. The enermax looks cool, and yes is two low density rads from xspc, both 360mm, but what about sound wise? Which is louder and which is quieter?
  10. Corsair sp 120mm ( quiet edition ) vs Phobya nb-eloop 120mm 1800rpm. Vs Cougar Vortex 120mm For radiator cooling and low noise while also providing decent cooling.
  11. So I'm making my first custom water cooling pc, and yes I know is expensive so save the comments recomending a massive heatsink or a close loop. I'm gonna have two radiators from xspc both are going to be triple 120 fan rads. Yes op I know but is cheaper to get another 360 than a 240 so there's that. my fan choices are either go mainstream and get corsair sp 120s, I was thinking in getting some noctua but I can't afford them so... besides the standard corsair sp 120 (quiet edition) are there any other fans that are quieter yet can push a decent amount of air for cheaper than noctua fans?
  12. Thanks everyone I think I'll go with the p2, just because I found it a 187.99 in amazon and well platinum rating with all jap caps. If I go over budget which I'll find out in 6 mins than I will get the g2. Thanks guys once again
  13. I know, I have the asus z97 ws which supports 4 way sli, idk how but it says it in the box and in linus' s review
