  1. @TheSLSAMG The "blower" style sounds like a good option, I'm considering this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121916 Do you use water cooling, or a conventional air cooling? What temperatures do you see in your case?
  2. @kurahk7: Has to be nvidia, blender doesn't play nice with AMD right now... Any recommendations for a specific GTX 960 (please see image, taken from Asus site)? Is there a big difference between the 2GB to the 4GB?
  3. Hi all, I've built a mini-ITX gaming PC (actually not for gaming, but for 3D modeling). It is based on Silverstone's SG13 case. Part list (please see attached image): CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 CPU cooler: stock Motherboard: Asus H97I-PLUS Mini ITX Case: Silverstone Sugo SG13B Mini ITX Front fan: Noctua NF-S12A PWM PSU: Silverstone SX500-LG I'm really happy with the result - so far everything runs cool and quiet. Now I want to add a GPU card and I'm debating between these two: GTX 750 Ti GTX 960 The GTX 960 is much more powerful (almost twice as much, as far as I can understand), but I want the PC to stay cool and quiet. TDP for the GTX 960 is twice as much as the GTX 750 Ti, so I guess it produces much more heat and noise, which might be a problem for such a small case, am I right? I don't want to replace the air cooling (front fan, Noctua) with a liquid one (is liquid cooling only for over-clocked CPU?). What would you recommend? Thanks for your advice, EZ
  4. Hi, I need to remove the USB 3.0 header from motherboard - please see attached images. Tried to apply reasonable force, but seems like it stuck there. Can't see any locking mechanism. Appreciate your help, EZ
  5. I've decided to go with the lower-left one, as suggested. I'll monitor the temperatures in the next couple of days and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice, guys!
  6. One point against the lower-left configuration which I've heard was that drawing heat (from the CPU) into the PSU might damage it in the long term. What do you think?
  7. I've recently purchased this psu: Silverstone SX500-LG Input voltage: 90V ~ 264V Input Frequency Range: 47Hz ~ 63Hz I'm used to see a small switch on the PSU which switches it from 110V/60Hz to 220V/50Hz. Couldn't find a switch like that on this PSU. Is it possible that it switches itself? Don't want to burn it when I plug it in...
  8. Hi, I'm building a mini-itx gaming PC (well not actually gaming - but rather 3D modeling). Currently I'm using air cooling, not liquid. I was wondering about the preferred way to setup the front fan and the PSU - for optimal airflow and lowest possible temperatures. I'd appreciate your opinion on the following variations (please see attached image), and the reasons for your opinion, Thanks Part list: CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 CPU cooler: stock Motherboard: Asus H97I-PLUS Mini ITX Case: Silverstone Sugo SG13B Mini ITX Front fan: Noctua NF-S12A PWM PSU: Silverstone SX500-LG P.S. I might add an Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti video card in the future
