  1. This worked nearly perfectly. I suppose i didnt assume that the DUAL WAN also waorked as a router. I was indeed doubed NAT'ed. I say 'nearly' perfect becuase the poe switch is actually managed which took me by surprise mainly becuase when i was first configuring it I had no access to a control panel and there as no ip address available for the switch at the time. Once i connected the switch directly to the DUAL WAN it populated an IP address for it as well and I had to turn off DHCP for the switch. After putting the port info into the DUAL WAN everything started working great. Quick Question: If i were to disable the DHCP settings from the router would it have worked that way as well? P.S. I am now using the router as an AP as i said I was going to do.
  2. So i should use the DUAL WAN to replace the existing router instead of adding it to the network? Im using the router strictly for wifi which the DUAL WAN isnt capable of doing. So i could switch the router into AP mode connect it to the unmanaged switch and connect the unmanaged switch to the dual wan instead?

  4. Ok i was reading all your replies and let me attempt to tackle them here. Dual WAN is TP-Link SafeStream TL-R470T+ I used the Load Balancing feature to connect 2 separate ISP to the DUAL WAN Heres an illustration of the network

  6. I currently installed a dual wan router into my network and I am no longer able to properly open ports for specific software i need open. I put the port info in the dual wan but for the forwarding IP address it is a specific computer i want the port open for and when i put in the IP for that system it says not able to becuase it is on 192.168.1.x while dual wan is 192.168.0.1. What am i doing wrong. The ony solution i believe is to connect the server/system directly to the dual wan which will give the server a 192.168.0.x IP Thoughts?
  7. So i am currently running 2 surveillance software on 1 windows 8 server. Geovision - analog Amcrest - IP Both software run simultaneously, and randomly at times the amcrest software 'does not respond' I fix the issue by simply end task in task manager, but i have to do this way too often. What information do i need to provide you guys to figure out what the problem is? Thanks
  8. What router is that link referring to? Is there a router you recommend? Ive been searching and see a few from companies Im really not familiar with but would prefer a tp link router.
  9. If i had a dual wan router i would be able to plug primary and secondary to dual wan and then dual wan into switch?
  10. There is definitely a router in between the modem and switch i didnt include in diagram due to space.
  11. Im looking to provide a fallback internet connection in the event the primary connection drops for a business that requires internet connection 24.7. What is the best way to acheieve this? Below is a very crude illustration as to what I am attempting to accomplish. Please enlighten me. Consider the primary as the main connection and the secondary as the fallback connection.
  12. Fixed the issue. First try running a sfc/ scannow in cmd using administrator It should fix your issue, but if not run a DISM command in cmd here is a link to the solution. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/7808-dism-repair-windows-10-image.html
  13. how can I convert .dmp to text so you can read it?
  14. I had a corrupted ssd(boot) and windows would continue to crash over and over until it just stopped loading into windows all together. I already reformatted the ssd(boot) and reinstalled windows on it again. doesn't crash as often but its starting to crash a lot more now. there is no way to repeat the crashing process it just does it randomly. attached are the dump files (please let me know if this link works) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B45mcM2mIi27M2ZNRlpVamhoUFE/view?usp=sharing Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Asrock H97 Pro4 (6/13/16 Ver: 04.06.05) Intel i5 4590 CPU @ 3.3GHz 4CPUs 4x4GB HyperX Fury msi Nvidia Gefore GTX 970 SPCC Solid State Disk (240 GB) Samsung SSD 850 EVO (250GB) Seagate ST100DM003-1ER162 (1TB) XFX TS PRO650W 80+ Bronze minidump.rar
