I've made some changes to my built according to your advise (and to what Umart actually sells) and this what I ended up with: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/xDX9dC In regards to the CPU and RAM I'd still rather go with the X99 and the 16GB because I do work from time to time on CAD and Photoshop. It's not very often, but it does happen (when I really can't avoid it). Other than that I tried to follow what you guys said, despite limiting myself to Umart making it a bit hard. Let me know what you think.

Hey guys, I'm planning on building a gaming desktop. It's time to retire my ASUS G73Jw. The plan is to get a decent desktop that can handle current and future games without breaking much of a sweat. I'm not really keen on embarking on the 4k boat (at least for now). I'd rather go for a high refresh rate monitor than a 4k one. In the future I'll probably add another GPU, some extra RAM and a 4k monitor. My budget is $5000 AUD and I'm basically starting from nothing. This is what I came up with. Did I forget anything? Feel free to comment/propose changes. I'll take all the help I can get. I would also like some advise about where to buy. I'm living in Brisbane QLD and I don't mind driving for a couple of hours. So if anyone knows a hidden gem where I can buy these components at a better price than umart please let me know. I'm not really keen on getting stuff by mail... Thanks in advanced, cheers.
