  1. no overclocking. which software to use for measuring temp to gpu ? I just moved my gpu from slot 2 to slot 1, as there was not much space between psu and gpu for proper air. may be thats the issue
  2. my msi gtx 980 ti backplate is getting too hot and also my game is crashing a lot. saying nvidia driver stopped working and have recovered. is it normal, or the crashes is because of heating. os is win 10.
  3. But the instruction manual with it said use the 8 to 6 pin converter provided. Thus i am using 8 + 6(8 to 6) pin connector. Thanks guys, the cmos thing did the trick. Thanks for the help.
  4. No it doesn't. They system is not even booting to bios . Yes it it on the primary pcie slot on the mobo. with 6 + 8 pin power connector
  5. I just bought my first gpu ever, msi gtx 980 ti g6. But when I installed it in my new system, it not booting up, light on the mobo lights up but nothing is showing up on monitor. Also if i remove the gpu system boots via onborad gpu. Can anyone help me if I am missing something. It came with 6/8 pin convertor. I hope we have to use it for inner 8 pin connector, while using 8 pin connector for outer one. I have 650 W EVGA power supply I hope thats enough for this card ?
  6. thanks for the info. i currently went with samsung sata ssd. but in future can add intel 750 nvme ssd to my system. its crazy insane. only if my mobo supports it
  7. i have gsync monitor, so unfortunately amd is not an option
  8. Thanks for the response. I will down the SSD. But for core i7, I have discounted i7 for the same price of i5 , thats why i am going with i7. Regarding 980ti, I have seen many response that its overkill for 1080p gaming and should only buy for 1440p or 4k. also I used MSI gtx 980 coz of red/black color of my most component. Just to be curious if I do go the way of 980 ti, which one would you recommend strix or MSI ?
  9. My max budget is $2500, but don't need to spend it completely. here is the pcparkpicker link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zzLDvK
  10. I am moving away from laptop gaming and finally decided to build my own. I already have the monitor. Here is the component list, if you guys can have a look and suggest if something can be improved to reduced down. Motherboard Asus Z97- pro gamer Processor Intel Core i7- 4790K Memory Corsair Vengence Pro 16 GB Power Supply EVGA 650W Fully modular CPU Cooler Nzxt Kraken x61 GPU MSI gtx 980 Monitor BenQ G-SYNC Hybrid Engine 24-Inch Gaming Monitor XL2420G Tower/Case NZXT h440 HDD WD 1TB SSD Samsung evo 850 500GB
  11. then there is only 3 options for me, msi strix or matrix. coz i would then need red black aesthetics. which one should i go for ?
  12. cost is not the issue, i can go as high as 600$, but if i am not overclocking it then that extra money i spent will be wasted. cheapest is 500$ .
