i think i definitely need an amp as the dt990 is very quiet when using with my iphone 5

Is there any amp/dac combo like the e07k, as in it has aux in and usb in for sound so it can be used at the desk and on the go.

I am planning to buy an amp for my DT990 in 2 week, anything under £90, i want to use it on my pc to play games and music, but i also want to use it with my iphone while in bed or on the sofa. I am planning to buy a portable amp such as a fiio 11k. How does this work, would i be able to use protable amps on my pc with the aux in? or are there amps that have both aux in and usb in for use on foot and on the desk? i was suggested the e10k many times, would i be able to use this with my iphone or an android phone some how? Thanks for any suggestions.

I've started to think more about the wire management and color scheme of my setup, i got my walls painted when i was 8... to a bright green . im trying to get the colours to match black and white, which is going succesful so far except the wall. My idea was to go to the nearest cloth and fabric store and buy large white fabrics for wall behind my setup. After i do that, a few wires below my desk would still be visible (because of the contrast (white wall, black wires)). so my question is, what is that pull down sheet or piece of material i can put under the desk hanging down to hide the wires? what about the type of music i like? edm, would it sound better on dt770 or dt990? songs like this (listen to part at 0:50)

i have been researching both for about a week now, but cant decide. i mainly just play games and listen to a bit of edm (dance house trap etc) i will be streaming regularly, and the only thing i'm worried about is the open headphones letting in noise from my case fans if i buy either i will probably go with the 250 ohm pros any input will be appreciated thanks

why e10(k) over schiit magni? or vice versa? isnt it worth getting e10 which is an amp/dac instead of just the magni amp?

one last question, why just the magni amp, over the e10(k)(amp/dac)?

oh right thank, i got the names mixed up, so i shouldnt really need a dac unless the onboard is giving noticeable interference/noise, right?

why not just use usb to the magni?

I'm buying the DT990 Pro 250ohm soon which i will use with onboard sound for a week or two then i will buy and amp and dac or sound card. Any suggestions? I am trying to stay as cheap as maybe £50-£75 for now. Thanks

ok thanks for the info, so what exactly is the difference? i dont know much except that the external dac is use to get the audio out of the pc to decrease white noise, right? and also i know that an amp would power the headphone, to make the headphones loud enough and some say to get more out of the headphones? What exactly are the 4 mentions on the thread title? Thanks

Amp, DAC, Soundcard or Audio Interface for DT 990? im ordering the DT 990s soon (will use for gaming (CSGO) and slow paced EDM music). what would i need to get to run these optimally? Just in case your wondering i have the z87 g43 mobo. Thanks for helping
