  1. Hey guys, I'm struggling to find a good replacement for my old Xiaomi Mi Max 3. I'm currently using a Xiaomi Mi 11 something or other, and while I like it, I miss the screen size of the old Mi Max 3. They have discontinued that series but I'm hoping to find a new phone that's similar in some ways: - Relatively cheap (under $800 AUD or so, I'm lenient) - Large screen - Higher refresh rate (90hz+) - Decent speakers would be nice, I don't use headphones in bed - Good battery life (Mi Max had 5500 mAh, so around there) - Something with a bit of a lifespan, I'll use it for at least 3 years - Android (I'm used to MiUI but any android will do, not a fan of iPhones) I don't care about the camera at all, and I won't do any gaming or heavy use whatsoever. I only use my phone to scroll instragram and watch shows in bed, and listen to music. Hopefully there are people out there who appreciate a good phablet and have some suggestions for me to check out. Thanks in advance for the help!
  2. Hey lads, I can't seem to find any info on this that's relevant, but sometimes when I alt-tab out of a game or program I get a windows error called Explorer.exe Fail Fast Exception. It locks up my computer and I can only clear it by alt-tabbing to the pop-up error window and pressing enter; I can't click it. After clearing it this way it pops up again about 2 or 3 more times immediately after, and each time I have to alt-tab to it again and repeat the process. After clearing it the first time, Windows does the thing it does when you restart Windows Explorer. All my desktops flash to a default screen momentarily, and my taskbar refreshes. I've attached an image someone else took on their system and will post on this. I had this issue on my last computer midway through last year, and I built a whole new computer that is still somehow doing it. It does this on fullscreen programs AND windowed programs alike. This thing is driving me nuts and I can't work out how to stop it from happening. It happens once or twice a day, but it's enough to drive me mad. Any help would be much appreciated. Sidenote: I delete a lot of stock windows programs that I consider bloatware which sometimes requires me going into the registry editor, and I have used regedit to 'fix' windows explorer in the past, so this may be having an effect but I'd like another opinion.
  3. I'll check them out, thanks for the suggestions!
  4. it varies a lot, but mostly kpop and a lot of jon bellion, so a good balance of treble and bass, but with an emphasis on the higher ranges.
  5. Howdy, I'm looking to replace my dying Corsair VOID Wireless headphones with something similar. I'm after suggestions for a headset that is: - Over-ear - Closed-back - Comfortable AF (the Voids are the most comfy pair I've ever worn) - Professional grade (I want really pristine audio quality for music, etc) - No microphone attached, I'm going to pair it with a standing mic - Doesn't need to be wireless (although I am partial to it, I get drunk a lot and wander away from my desk with my headset still on and I keep dropping plugged-in pairs. Plus I love making my friends hear me pee) No firm budget, but I'm maybe looking at under 350 AUD. Thanks for taking the time to help out, I'd really appreciate the help!
  6. For me it was basically hardware/software faults I imagine. I took good care of them mostly. On the first pair the battery just died out over time (but that wasn't a Void Pro, it was the older model), the second pair lasted much longer but a random fault came up. It's as if the USB charging port on the headset just stopped working. It won't appear on iCUE as connected and it stopped charging, even when swapping cables around and using different chargers or computers. Weird thing is it seems to charge partially when the dongle is unplugged? It also happened overnight; working wonderfully one day and just gone the next. What's annoying is that my current pair is under warranty, but since I live in South Australia and I bought it last year in Oregon somewhere, that's bust. Returning them to Corsair's RMA department is always an option, but I don't want to wait around for months to get it back. Don't get me wrong, I truly loved the damn thing, but after 2 breakdowns I think it's time for something a different.
  7. Cool, I'll add it to the list. Thanks! Edit: 90 bucks here, that's damn good in useless Australian monopoly money
  8. $159 at my local place, I'll absolutely check them out. I'm using a friend's HyperX headset until a get a new one so I'm already gaining a liking for them. Thanks!
  9. Howdy, My beloved Corsair Void Pro just kicked it. Second pair in 2 years. So, I'm in need of a new PC headset. I'll break it down into an easy-to-read list. - Under 150 AUD and something I can grab from a Adelaide-based store - USB connectivity - Long use comfort, basically the over-ear style of the Void - Wireless is preferred, but a decent length cord would do as well (ideally not braided, I hate the noise they make in the ear if it rubs against something) - Longer lasting than a Void pro (1 year isn't hard to beat) - has a microphone; a decent one so my friends don't berate me Thanks for taking the time to help out, truly appreciated. All suggestions welcome. PS It's been a while since I've been on this forum so excuse me if this is in the wrong place!
  10. Hi, So I just left my home in Adelaide to backpack in the US for a few weeks before going to live in Calgary for a semester exchange. I brought my Corsair VOID wireless headset but forgot the dongle in my PC at home, like a cuck. I needed new headphones anyway, since those were dying and I didn't want to RMA them because I cbf shipping them to Taiwan. I want to get a new pair of headphones, and I'm happy to really invest in a good pair, but I don't want to have to get an AMP so nothing with crazy high impedance. I also would like to get a microphone solution like modmic or even a usb stand mic like a blue yeti or something. Although the laptop mic is usable, I don't wanna put my friends through the pain of crappy quality and audible keystrokes. I also need the headset to be as comfortable as my VOID headset was. Every friend and family member who wore them always say how they are the most comfortable pair of headphones they've ever worn. So big ear cups and NOT the kind that sit on the ear. Anyway, any suggestions for a wireless headset and a mic solution? It doesn't have to be a gaming branded headset, I'm really looking for something more premium for a really great audio experience. I mean, it doesn't even need to be wireless I'd just prefer it. TL;DR: Looking for killer wireless comfortable headphones and a microphone solution. Not sure what my budget is yet, doesn't need to be a gaming brand. I prefer wireless because I hate the microphonics of wired headsets and I like it when my friends hear me pee.

  12. I'm looking for laptop suggestions to help kick start my search. So I'm going on exchange soon, and I plan to travel around before, during and after. However, I still need a relatively powerful laptop for use with Maya, Premiere, Illustrator, After Effects, etc. Not super heavy use with any of those apps; won't be doing any 4k work or physics sims, so an i5 should be fine. I also want to be able to game on it, so like a 1060 or higher. 8 gigs of ram is crap for me, so 16 gigs. I don't care about touch screens. 1080p is fine. I'm hoping to spend around 1500-2000 dollars. EDIT: AUSTRALIAN dollars. I had a look a the LG gram but idk about gaming on that, but if it's good then let me know. PS I'm in Australia rip
  13. As you can see, I'm in Australia, so Australian re-sellers would be appreciated
