  1. Hello everyone, I am just hear for some opinions on some decent headphones. My budget is 300 dollars. They will mostly be used for gaming but i dont need all this 7.1 surround sound hear peoples footsteps from 30 miles away best mid response ever kind of headphone lol. I also want to listen to music a fair amount. I really just want a good overall sound quality, i can adjust everything else with an equalizer and dolby atmos if I so chose. So what are some recommendations based on this? My first option is a beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium Edition but I honestly no nothing of the brand so im not sure.
  2. Do you think getting an external amp and plugging my headphones into that would be better?
  3. To start off, I don't know much about sound cards. I primarily use my Logitech g399 for gaming it has 7.1 surround sound and is normally plugged in via sub, but can be plugged in with a 3.5mm Jack. I'm trying to see if I can get better (possibly louder) sound for both games and music. I'm currently looking to get https://www.amazon.com/Creative-Blaster-Audigy-Performance-Headphone/dp/B00EO6X7PG?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAINYWQL7SPW7D7JCA&tag=aboutcom02lifewire-20&linkCode=sp1&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00EO6X7PG&ascsubtag=833111|google.com|||41%2C34%2C9%2C47%2C51%2C27%2C50%2C33|1| so I can keep the 7.1 surround sound for fps games. Would this be a worthwhile purchase? I'm thinking about getting speakers down the road as well. Would these improve them as well. Also if anyone else has any suggestions that are in the sub $100 (maybe a little over) price range let me know. Thanks guys! I appreciate any responses.
  4. Thanks for the link I appreciate it. I am at work right now but ill give it a try when I get home.
  5. ah ok I didnt know that. I will clean it up for sure. Thanks guys
  6. I think its close to max. I am most likely going to reformat both of my drives to clean them up. My internet surfing practices were not the best in the past and I have a bunch of junk on my HDD that I dont want to go through
  7. I think its a 250gb Samsung 850 EVO about 2 years old now
  8. I'm also looking to decrease my boot time. I do have windows installed on the SSD but my boot still take upwards of a minute sometimes. I have no unnecessary boot up programs so would that be on my motherboard at this point?
  9. Yeah my internet is good. After its downloaded via steam it usually take an extra 10 minutes to install. I really just need the drive to catch up with my internet lol
  10. Ok yeah. Im just impatient lol So I guess ill just save up the money to get a full SSD. My games currently install pretty slow too so I assume an SSD would help with that as well
  11. Hello, I am currently looking at getting a new hard drive for my gaming pc. My question is if I were to spend the extra money on an SSD would it be worth it? I am looking at the Samsung evo 850 or the Seagate 2TB firecuda. Would installing games on the SSD make a noticeable difference in performance? I already have a small SSD that I have windows on that I would keep. I would swap out my really old hard drive that I have all my games installed to.
  12. Haha yeah I was still half asleep when I wrote this. I am currently going to community college to get an associate's degree in Computer Information Systems. I still have to work full time though, I was just looking for some study material to start learning for the test. If I could get my certification out of the way, or at least start studying for it, then I would hopefully get a job that it closer to the field I want to go in.
  13. Hello everyone, So I am just looking for some advise on how to obtain my Comptia A+ certification to try and start a career in IT. I have a little bit of computer knowledge from building most of my gaming PC. I have done a little bit of research and found the Comptia Certmaster program but it doesn't have very good reviews. An instructor-led course is way out of my price range. I was just wondering if anyone had any self learning recommendations such as online programs, books, or any other resources.
  14. on the topic of virus protection i do need one. Should i just go with avast or are there better free ones? yeah im on windows 10 so ill try disabling that
  15. Hello, I just built a new computer and this is my first day using it. After a few hours of use (playing video games watching live streams etc) my computer slows to a crawl and if i look at task manager it says i have 99% memory usage and my compute eventually completely freezes, I have 16gb of ram so i have no idea why this is happening. None of the processes show a high memory usage either. Any ideas?
