  1. So have tried several different driver versions and have tried a clean install of Windows, now I'm just worried if it's a bad card It just makes no sense, anyone have any more ideas?
  2. Yeah I did, I'll try a few different drivers then, cheers
  3. Yeah I've already tried uninstalling the AMD software and now just have the drivers to see if that was the issue Doesn't seem to have changed anything I just really can't grasp the reason my performance was 2X what it was now like 2 days ago? Really confusing
  4. GPU temps are sitting at 60 through the whole thing
  5. Hey guys, So I got a 7900 XT a few days ago, ran a benchmark on Cyberpunk the day I installed the new card which is this one here: Now, here is a benchmark I have done just right now In the few days that I've owned my new card the performance is half of what it was, nothing has changed, drivers etc I haven't touched the hardware at all This unexplainable loss in performance has got me really confused, any ideas? Cheers
  6. Anyone know if I'd be alright to continue using this if I format? Would be a shame to throw out a 6tb drive I'm unsure of the rules of when you should ditch a drive due to failure.. Not sure whether this was the OS at fault or the hard drive itself
  7. No, I just turned the PC back on after reconnecting the sata/power cables to the drives and putting it all back together. First thing windows said on startup was "Repairing D:" So I just left it alone, assuming it would be fine but nah, deleted all of my stuff there's like 10% of the folders left, some are empty and some other files are 0KB but they used to contain data. It's probably dead Idk was just hoping there was something I could've done because I've lost a huge amount of personal files here. Trying my best to just not care but this is absolute pain lmao
  8. I just got done cleaning my PC and connected the drives back, I hadn't touched them besides placing them on the side and then re-mounting & connecting the sata cables One of the drives is a 6TB seagate one, when I turned the PC back on and Windows 10 started to load, I had a message that said it was repairing my drive After windows loaded 99% of the files on the drive are gone, does anybody know if there's any way of restoring them? I know drive recovery tools exist but I'd prefer to get the drive back to the way it was (if possible) Than go down the route of recovering individual files. Haven't deleted / moved anything since this happened in the case it's repairable. Thanks for any suggestions in advance
  9. I actually never thought of that as a solution lmao but that actually works quite well My current router is just from my ISP it's a BT one
  10. Hello everyone, Wondering if such a thing exists and if so could anybody could throw some recommendations out? I'm looking for a Wi-Fi repeater I have a huge ethernet cable that runs across the house I'd like to make use of that cable to extend my wireless signal, but the cable ends at my PC which I'd still like to be wired for a faster connection I know I could just use any old router but I don't want to use a new SSID, I'd prefer if the current signal was just extended in range so I don't need to keep switching between connections So I basically need a repeater that also has an ethernet in and out.. can't seem to find this anywhere or at least somewhere that has this in the spec Any help? Cheers
  11. Hey guys, thanks for the comments I think I'll have a look at office chairs just unsure what exactly to look for specifically but I can do some research on Google I'd actually love to get a car chair but unsure where I'd even start to be honest lmao
  12. Hey all, I'm from the UK (Thought I best mention this in case somebody sends me a link to purchase something from another country with high shipping costs) I currently find it hard to sit for over an hour as my chair is so uncomfortable and doesn't adjust at all. Looking for the best affordable ergonomic chair suitable for sitting for periods of time whilst maintaining proper posture and being comfortable at the same time, Something < £200 GBP would be good for my price range Thanks in advance for any help
  13. I bought a 970 EVO and I just checked I'd only be getting half of the speed.. So I'm gonna see if I can cancel this motherboard and order a different one thanks guys
  14. So I've just ordered this motherboard: ASUS Prime H310M-E R2.0 As I've just upgraded my CPU & memory, and this board seemed fairly priced and will be good until I have enough money to get something better but I've only just realized that the M.2 is a 2x slot My question is, I was just about to order my NVME drive and was doing some research, and only found out after I already ordered my motherboard and It's been shipped at this point Is this going to limit the speed of my NVME drive if I wish to buy one compared to if I had a motherboard with a 4X slot? Thanks in advance for any responses
  15. If you're referring to the integrated graphics, I don't think It'd be playable or even worth considering. For titles like Modern Warfare a discrete GPU is the way to go.
  16. Hey, Thanks for the reply and the recommendation. After some research I ended up going with a Noctua NH-U9S, I saw some benchmarks and it outperformed the 212 EVO.. It's also 125mm tall so I'll have plenty of room. Also doesn't overhang the RAM slots either as I have tall RAM.. Was a bit more expensive but seems worth it and yeah swapping the case would be a nightmare as It's a big box. Have returned the 212 EVO to Amazon so all is good
  17. Hey, Bought this case and cooler.. before noticing it was off by 9mm, Can anybody confirm if they have tried fitting a 212 evo into a SPEC-05 and if clearance was an issue or not? Have searched Google and can't find anything at all other than the max cooler height of the case and the height of the 212 evo. Thanks.
  18. Definitely not 5 years old, and I still have the receipt somewhere, I'll probably get a replacement.. but I'll do that after I buy an NH-D15 and just sell the Corsair one, I'm done with AIO coolers for the foreseeable future this is the second I've had problems with. I fiddled around with it and it looks like the 3 pin fan cable that powers the pump has a loose connection, when I moved it into a different position the pump gets power again. Just going to leave it into position until I order the Noctua one in a few days. I've seen only good reviews on the NH-D15 so hopefully it'll serve me better than this one has. Thanks for the help guys.
  19. Just felt the top and definitely don't feel anything, the tubes also feel extremely hot to touch but the radiator is freezing cold and is blowing cold air out
  20. Hey guys, Anybody have any idea what this could be? I'm trying to rule everything out before I declare that my AIO is dead. The cooler I currently have is a Corsair H80i V2 I have re-applied thermal paste multiple times, cleaned the radiator and fans and I'm just not having any luck at all. I have attached screenshots of my case (So that you can see I have sufficient airflow) and I've attached a screenshot of me running valley with temps) Any suggestions? Thanks
  21. Idle it sits at around 35-40 for the CPU and 40-45 for the GPU I've just actually played a game for half an hour (Dead by Daylight) And the CPU hit 79c with the GPU at 83c.. Regarding the case I'm assuming It's the newer version as the top is ventilated and the PSU is already facing with the fan up to draw air from the top, I've just tried to ramp up the rpm of the front intake fan in the BIOS but the only option I was given was silent, standard and turbo, I set turbo and I'm not noticing much of a difference in sound so Idk if it's actually made a difference. Going to play some other games and see what temps I get
  22. Hey guys, Just wondering what your thoughts are. Managed to pick up some cheap parts along with a mini ITX case that I bought to use as a media centre for the living room along with some occasional gaming. Specs: CPU: i5-3470 (Got this for £25, Roughly $30 which isn't bad in my opinion seeing as It's more than enough for what I need it for.) CPU Cooler: Silverstone AR11, Did try a bunch of coolers before hand but none would fit due to the clearance of the PCIE lane on my motherboard being right next to the CPU socket. So pretty much had a choice of this and the Noctua L9i, I know the Noctua is a lot quieter at the expense of being only a couple of degrees hotter but I don't care about sound as the TV will more than likely always be louder than the system itself anyways. So opted to go for best temps with the AR11. GPU: Zotac GTX1060 6GB (Mini version) Case: Silverstone SG13B PSU: Corsair RM750 (A spare I had) Front fan: Corsair (Looks like an AF style, 140mm- Only 1 fan is supported by the case, Currently have it in-taking air, It's a spare I used that I took out of my Corsair 750D when I bought replacements for that.) Just put it all together and ran Valley Benchmark and here are the results: CPU temperature: 73c GPU temperature: 82-83c Frame rates are fine and as I'm using a TV&monitor @ 60Hz the GPU does well to keep the frames above 60 nearly all of the time, for everything that I've threw at it up to yet. I'm obviously not surprised that It's so hot considering the size of the case which is a Silverstone SG13B but wondering on people's opinions and if it'll be safe to keep it operating under these temperatures permanently. (Well, whilst playing games of course) I've read some mixed opinions online about how hot pascal "should" get and how hot It's "safe" to be at, at a constant whilst gaming. So just wondering if any temperature experts know anything that could help or if It's performing as expected. Or if anybody else has any experiences using the Silverstone SG13B. Thanks in advance for any replys
  23. Hey guys, Just bought a 128gb SanDisk microSD card. It's for my nintendo switch. When I first plugged it into my PC I wanted to do a read/write to make sure that the SD card was working all good. However, I've noticed for some reason the program H2TestW stops writing to my drive and I get an error after a few minutes. My question is: My memory card reader is quite old. Is it possible that I need to just get a new reader that supports SDXC? I thought all SD cards worked in SD readers. As did I when I plugged it in, as it appeared to be working until I tried to write big'ish files to it (3GB+) Thanks in advance for any help
