  2. Hey guys! I need some advice for a friend of mine. He wants to build a PC from scratch. He has a keyboard, mouse and monitor. The PC will be used for gaming. I really hope you guys can help me out! With kind regards, Tycho
  3. First off, you're not stupid. Watch this:
  4. You're welcome mate, hope it works out for the best! Just don't get involved with the likes of those guys.
  5. I know the benchmarking software Fur Mark. I also know that its supposably on of the most dangerous pieces of software you can use to test your graphics card. I've done some research and found numerous reports of people saying Fur Mark pretty much caused their gpu's to meltdown. Fur Mark is meant to overheat your gpu, so it's pretty obvious that you get those digits. But you have to make sure you have a proper airflow and some fans blowing cool air from the bottom of your case onto the fans of your gpu. Whats the card's temperature while playing GTA V?
  6. PayPal has a huge fraud intervention team which sole purpose is to track and shutdown people that commit fraud through PayPal. You can use this link to contact them: https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/home. You can also try to contact the CAFC (Canadian Anti Fraud Centre).
  7. That's an awesome build you got there. But the only weak link in there is the power supply. I'd get a Corsair RM1000, so if you want to put those puppies (either a 980ti (which i would get) or a Titan X) in SLI and not having to buy a new power supply.
  8. Is GTA 5 the only game you have these so called artifacts with? If you run some other game of the same graphic intensity, does it give you artifacts as well? It's true that overclocking a GPU causes artifacts and that 95C is WAY too hot. Make sure your pc is free of dust or stuff like that and that you have a proper airflow. Also remove the OC-settings and see if the artifacts go away. (but you probably already thought of that yourself)
  9. Awesome! So when I set the following: - CPU Core Ratio to 46 - CPU Vcore to 1.25v - Cache Ratio to 35 - Set the Vring to 1.20v It could work with those settings?
  10. First off, I have no clue what the GT stands for. Anyway... My specifications are: Z97 Gaming 3 4790K + H110i GT 700W Cooler Master GTX 970 I've been wanting to overclock my 4790K for some time but never really known how. The fact of the matter is, I still don't know how. I got myself a proper "cpu water cooler" and thought I'd give it a shot. But to be honest, I think I should consult you guys first before I try something stupid and end up with a hole in my motherboard where my cpu used to be. My question is: Do you guys know of a stable setting, maybe by the use of OC Genie which is build into my actual bios, or through some other program. And if you guys have some general tips or tricks, such as which programs might come in handy (such as CPU-ID or Aida64) or stuff like that, please let me know. I've looked at the spreadsheet for the CPU Overclocking Database, but those are all different motherboards listed there... Thanks in advance for all tips on the matter!
  11. I had that same problem. Turned out one of my ram modules was pushing up daisies. Try taking out one ram module and see if the bios still registers it. If it's the ram, you'll see that since it won't show up in the bios. You can always try reseating them. While you're at it, clear your cmos, that helped for me ones.
  12. Hey guys! Today I found out that my recently purchased (read: 4 months ago) motherboard, the MSI Z97 Gaming 3, doesn't support SLI configuration. What motherboard would you guys advice me to get as a replacement? I'm using an SLI Asus STRIX 970, 4790k and 16gb of DDR1600mhz memory. Thanks in advance, you guys are awesome!
  13. Hey guys! I was wondering if my 700W power supply from Cooler Master (it's like 5-7 years old) would be able to cope with these specifications: - 2x Asus STRIX GTX 970 Overclocked SLI - 4790k (would really like to overclock it for just a tiny bit). - 2 SSD's - 1 SATA HD - like 6 fans - H110i Cooler. - MSI Gaming 5 motherboard. Do you guys think that the 700W Power Supply would be sufficient? Please let me know!
