LOL thanks! yes, im friends with our neighbor at work and they offered to let me use it, but signal strength is just not there. Figure a good wifi with an antenna to get closer or a can may work. Thanks for the help

Hello, First post here. Recently my work took away our wifi access. I have access to a neighbors wifi but the signal is horrible, I get maybe 1 or 2 bars on the connection display. I also have access to Xfinity hotspots which there are two of closer to me, occasionally I can connect to them but typically it looses speed and cuts in and out after a bit. Any suggestions on a usb wifi adapter I can use that has an external antenna? Also, If I were to buy an adapter with a connected antenna could I use a usb extension on it, and still have it work? Basically my computer is in one place and I need an antenna about 8-10 feet away to pick up a decent signal. My tech level is somewhat intermediate, so if possible add links to anything you may suggest. Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!
