  1. I think my range shouldnt be a big problem since my pc is 1 level above the router but my router does not broadcast 2 seperate networks, only 1, even tho 5GHz is turned on in the router settings. Is it possible that you've got one network that broadcast them both somehow? (sry for late answer)
  2. If I am not mistaken it does support dual band n. (sry for late answer)
  3. 5 GHz is already enabled in my router settings. And I'd say I'm a bit acquainted with networking stuff (like a now some basics but no real deep stuff). (sry for late answers)
  4. Heyo, So a while ago i built a new pc and just recently i put in a new wireless card wich does support a 5ghz connection ,but I think I am running a 2.4 ghz connection even tho my wireless router is capable of transmitting a 5ghz signal. The channel my pc is connected too is #11 and if I am not mistaken this is a 2.4 Ghz channel. Could anyone tell me how i would switch my connection to 5ghz. (Btw I live in Belgium and my internet provider is telenet.) Thanks in advance!
  5. Heyo, So my phone (a samsung galaxy ace 3, unlocked version) started smoking/releasing a burn plastic smell after plugging the charger in and I think the cause of this is getting some water in it because i had to bike through a really heavy rain shower and yeah .. i kinda got wet. Right now I'm just hoping that my chargin port got fried and nothing else like my logic board but i am not entirely sure that i can fix this so thats my question. Could i fix this and if i could how much would that cost me. (also if someones know a good guide/shop where to buy another charging port so that i can fix it if i can fix it). Thanks a lot
  6. Ow, i thought that the af would be better but if you say that sp will do the job i'd rather take those ... they look better IMO. Thanks for the advice, It helped me a lot ... (way too many fans on the market.)
  7. I think the PWM fan hub will do good (ill check my mobo for suppert thanks for the tip... would have forgotten otherwhise.) As for the fans is there any real difference (besides looks) between the af or sp series. (I think the sp series look damn nice) EDIT : After some googling i saw that the sp are rather for cooling rads and the af rather for case fans. So i think the AF series would be a better choice for me.
  8. Eyo I recently build myself a system And I am using my 2 stock fans that came with the s340 an i plugged them in through a molex cable because I couldnt find enough system fan pins to connect my fans and they always are at full power and that makes them noisy as hell so right now I'm looking for a fan controller (that doesnt use a drive bay with IO in the front of the case because the s340 doesnt have that.) and some fans with blue accents (lighting isnt necessary). P.S. I live in Belgium and my budget is limited but i am willing to spend a bit more for quality. (max for fans is 20 euros each and for the fan controller, IDK dont know the prices of them.) Thanks in advance!
  9. I just plugged in an old 5 Euro wifi usb thingie that works like shit but it allowed me to see wich protocol i have and i do have 802.11n Also thanks for the reccomendation. I'll proably pick the WDN4800 up since i dont really know any other good ones for my system/requirements and it will probably do the job excellent. Thanks again.
  10. Hmmm thats a lot of information .. ill try finding what kind of router i have. Oh and btw i would want to get myself a direct ethernet cable but the problem is that my pc is like a floor above th e main router and 2 flours above the main router and this houce isnt wired with ethernet (it is bought tho). I was also thinking of keeping the hardwire that i have right now (gives me around 20 mbps) + using wifi. Would that be a good idea?
  11. Well I have reached speeds over 150 mbps over wifi btu hardline sucks pretty hard. as for my router im not really sure where to find out what is it using. should i be able to find it on my router/modem itself or should i try looking into the software side of router/modem. (Sry fi this is all newbish but it isnt ereally a thing I know a lot of ) Edit: i have reached speeds between 100 and 150 ... not over 150. Sry
  12. Im using a Telenet router that uses 802.11g (iirc) (according to Mr Kickkiller).
  13. Yeah im using Telenet and I should be getting 200 down and 11up but with the poerline thingie im getting 18 down and 11 up. so yeah ...
  14. Heyo, So i recvently build myself a PC btu I'm only able to get ethernet through a thing that you need to plug into the wall and well its way too slow for what I should be getting for my speeds. Are there any good Wifi PCI/E cards that you could recommend? Btw looks do matter a bit because my pc is black and blue so i dont want a flashy red card My internet speed is around 200 mbps and 11 up (not the ebst but good internet for Belgium) and im about 5 to 8 meters away from my modem/router. P.S. Price range is up to 60 euros Thnx for the help
  15. After looking into it I think ill be sticking to a 5th gen cpu and non skylake mobo because the lowest priced skylake cpu and mobo (that i could find here) will get my whole pc cost up by another ~ 20 euros and then i wouldnt really have enough for my other peripherals (monitor and keyboard) and my windows 10 license (wich i obviously need). Thnx tho, appreciate it
