  1. Personally , I'd go with the 970 for the power efficiency and the extra features like Shadowplay. Also some games are better optimized. The 390 is still a great cards though. If I was you , I'd suffer through with those cards and wait for late this/mid next year.
  2. It's not like the power bill will be 100$ bigger. Not so sure why everyone's making a big deal out of it. If you're futureproofing , the 390 is the obvious choice. And with the state of PC optimization , those 8GB of VRAM will be very useful very soon.
  3. Sorry for late reply. He's buying at http://www.adm.hr/ which is a local retailer. This is the page with the MOBO's , I hope you won't have trouble in navigating the page: http://www.adm.hr/index.php?cPath=258_217_214_391&sort=3d&page=1 I'm basically looking for something between 900 and 1000KN.
  4. @tmcclelland455 The current budget is already pushing it , so I'd rather invest it into a good MBO. Any specific one you would recommend? I'm looking at the Gigabyte GA-H97-Gaming 3 , but I'm not sure yet.
  5. Hey guys , a friend asked me to come up with a build for him , an AMD GPU (for some reason lol) and an SSD is a must for him. No overclocking. He isn't going to be upgrading anytime soon so he wanted it to be at least a bit future proof. Gaming will be the primary use. I basically tweaked a couple of things on my existing build to fit in an SSD inside the budget, any thoughts? I guess I should ask: Is there any major difference between the H97 PRO and the H97 PRO GAMER motherboard? Should I pick a higher W PSU or will 650W be enough? Is Sapphire the best choice out of all the 390's (they all cost almost the same in my country)? Thanks.
  6. That genuinely made me laugh.
  7. To be honest , if I could , I'd cough up that money , if only for the kickass case and service.
  8. Haha , yes I am , hello to everyone from Slovenia
  9. So this is my backup build that I'm planning on getting and I want to make sure everything is A-okay. It'll mainly be used for gaming , light video editing and programming , media playback and regular office/school work. I'm not going to be doing any overclocking and I'll be gaming strictly at 1080p. It's worth noting that I'm not going to upgrade this PC for the next 4 years , hence why I'm thinking about getting the 390 with 8GB of GDDR5. The thing that worries me about this build is the PSU , is it going to be good enough for the PC? Thanks.
  10. The i5 and the i7 are basically identical when it comes to gaming , however the i7 kicks i5's arse when it comes to video editing/rendering etc. If you don't want to overclock ( I don't overclock either ) , get the non - K version and an H series motherboard
  11. I'm currently in the process of upgrading to a new PC , after 4 years of using an HD 7770 and the x4 Phenom II This is the build that I came up with , it's from my local retailer , are the specs any good and should I change anything? I'll be using it at 1080p only and mostly for gaming and a bit of light programming and video/picture editing. Thank you in advance!
  12. 550W or preferably 600W. This will be a close call with a 500W PSU.
